Thomas The tank engine – always a winner

Right off of the card, this Thomas WOOD model of Spencer has a definite metallic shimmer, so he is clearly silver and not gray as he appears in images of the TWR versions. I also appreciate the full-body paint job instead of just silver highlights over natural wood-look like the early Thomas WOOD version. Since Spencer is loosly based on the Mallard locomotive used by the LNER in Great Britain, the 6-wheel configuration on the shorter wheelbase also makes more sense than the TWR versions which had him sharing the same configuration and Wheelbase as such engines as Gordon, the prototype locomotive for whom was longer than the Mallard. My one complaint is that the magnets are not as strong as I was expecting - hence an overall rating of only 4 stars. But if you're looking for an accurate model of Spencer without shelling out extra money for the TWR Battery-Operated version, then this is the way to go! CORRECTION: After some experimentation with the magnets on the Thomas WOOD Spencer, I have determined that these magnets are actually just as strong as the average connecting magnets in the wooden railway industry. The problem with this version of Spencer's magnets is not the strength, but that the plastic magnet holders stick out a bit farther than what I'm used to; thankfully, not so far as to interfere with the model going around 3.5" radius curves or up and down inclines. With this in mind, I have adjusted the star rating to 5 out of 5!

Es ist wie bei allem… man zahlt den Namen Es ist viel zu teuer für das was man bekommt. Dachte sie Qualität wäre etwas besser. Trotzdem wird mein Kind sich darüber freuen und mit ihm spielen
