These are definitely for WORK. Solid Metal. Nothing is going to stop these wheels and if you need to put them on something heavy you will not be disappointed. I put them on my cat's litter box, a wooden cabinet style cumbersome beast that I needed to be able to move easily for cleaning. What WAS an issue for me is that the holes for the screws are HUGE. You might run into a problem finding screws with a head that are wide enough to fix these in place. I made it work with 4 washers as the screws I needed could not be longer than a half inch, and they simply don't make shallow screws with heads as wide as they need to be for these wheels. Overall I am very happy with his product and do recommend this product, just be mindful about how you're putting this on you furniture.

These casters were exactly what I was looking for! They are heavy duty cast iron and totally look vintage industrial. I wanted to upgrade my coffee table to a more industrial look and these casters pulled it off. The casters are heavy duty and easy to install. I highly recommend the 4" caster for any furniture upgrade you are thinking of doing. By the way, the casters roll incredibly smoothly. You can not beat the quality for your money.

These are exactly as I expected, a set of four sturdy all-metal wheels. Each was individually wrapped in plastic to be safe - I only took photos of one for review sake. They move freely as expected, and no pesky rubber to wear out. Nice set!

They wobble a tiny bit but it does not seem to affect performance. I'm done with the cheap imported polyurethane tire wheels with unrealistically high weight ratings. There is a difference between "working capacity" and "maximum load capacity". At only 600 lbs, which was only a fraction of their max weight rating, those were very difficult to roll because the soft tires squish down into the floor. You don't need wheel locks at this point because the shear weight on the soft tires keeps it from rolling. They don't look flat but they feel flat because you need both hands and your full body weight to move the item around on a perfectly clean and flat concrete floor. Pushing it in the opposite direction to get the wheels to swivel around, the shear weight grinds the soft tire into the floor which then damages them. One set of those did not last a week. I finally ended up with these solid steel wheels without brakes and they roll so much easier... even on a slight slope, the 600 lb weight keeps the cart in place, while also being able to move it with one hand when needed. So far I'm happy and I only took off one star because the black paint on the casters was chipped on all four, and they wobble a little bit as if the hole in the wheel is on a slight angle. They squeaked too but a little oil on the shaft took care of that - kinda surprised they weren't greased at the factory. I will update this review as needed.

I bought these on March 29th 2021 and installed two of them on the pump/handle side of my shop hoist in early April. After about 6 months of very light use (2 engine pulls), the caster bearings started to bind, and that progressed every time I moved the hoist (laden or unladen). I regreased them every other use, but this didnt seem to mitigate their wear. Today (February 4th 2022) one of them broke off while moving the hoist about 10 feet across my shop floor without a load on it. They claim to be rated at 400lbs each (which is what my hoist manufacturer recommends for these casters), and the combined capacity should be 700-800 lbs between the two of them. The hoist weighs about 250lbs without a load, and these wheels are on the pump side, which only bears about 15-20% of any load that the hoist arm bears. The maximum estimated weight that has ever been on these casters is about 600lbs. I'm thoroughly disappointed in their quality, and I will not be using the other two that came with this kit.

These castors do not have ball bearings in them. For occasional moving around a room, they are ok. If you plan on moving something 100 feet every day, the center of the wheel will rip out.

We absolutely lovevthe look, style and quality of these cast wheels. The size is just perfect to showcasevunder our tv cabinet. We have received so many compliments about them. We have purchased another set to use around our home as well. LOVE THEM!!!!!
