Level I Chemistry

Investing in the accompanying workbooks is well worth it! The only complaint/suggestions that I have is that buying the teachers manual is pretty essential to really feel like you are understanding the experiments. They are laid out in much more detail in the teachers manual and since I never usually buy the teachers manual for anything, it took me a while to figure this out. But once I did, it was smooth sailing. My son loved this book and completed it in less than a month and was ready to move onto the next one. After happening upon this book, I found they have several other subject areas of study and purchased several of the other subjects available and all of my kids love them! The only thing that is hard for me to get over is that they are all printed in COMIC SANS! lol : ) Obviously, the content well makes up for the choice of font, but it is hard for me to look at. : ) Great product, would highly recommend!

The book and its topics are perfectly fine. The book was supposed to be new. It isn’t. It’s been written in. Unacceptable.

I chose this rating because I expected the book to be a bit longer and for it to have more substantial information in it. However, it was good for what it discussed, just not enough and a bit pricey for a paperback. I did look into the Level II book by the same author and found it to be what I expected more from the first one. I ordered it and was very pleased. I would definitely recommend the Level II book over this one. It just doesn't give enough information.

I liked it..My 6 year old son finds it interesting. I ask him to read a chapter first and then go through it again with him to illustrate the topics in more detail.

My son is on a science team and suddenly needed a crash course in Chemistry.The chapters are 4-5 pages long, the illustrations are GREAT, and the chapter reviews cover vocabulary and concepts.Can't recommend this more highly -- this is a good resource.

Good book

This book is an excellent book for introducing the young student to chemistry. The vocabulary is sophisticated but the explanations are clear and easy to understand. Recommend this book to families and to schools.

This was a very short book for the price.
