The mic just weighs the arm down and it continues to slip during recording. Where the arm slots into the clamp are very weak and it does not stay upright. I will need to purchase a replacement mic stand soon as this can`t last much longer. I would suggest only use it for lighter mics. Meanwhile, if anyone can recommend a sturdy tabletop mic stand that would hold a heavy mic like the Rode NT1A with Shock Mount and pop filter, I would love to hear from you. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Useful desktop mic stand *by A***O on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 October 2019* I had just bought my daighter a USB mic so she could to do ad hoc vocal recordings for college etc. and I was most impressed so considered one myself before realising that I have a number of decent vocal mics I could use anyway. All I was missing was a neat cradle or desktop stand that I could 'put away' easily. Came across this...It's not really quite big enough for my setup as I have quite a deep desktop. Ideally it would clamp to the back edge, so I could pull it forward and push it right back out of the way when not in use. As it is, I have this one sat on the front corner but it's still quite workable. It means I can now indugle in recording voice overs or vocals without having to setup a mic in the live room, with all the toing and froing that entails. It will definitely make me want to record more which was the main reason for buying.Each arm is only about 35cm but allows you to stand if it is mounted on the edge of a desk right infront of you. I am using it with an Audio Technica AT4033 which it holds well enough but may be on the edge of the weight tolerance. After a time it begins to sag but I am being careful with how much I tighten the thumb screws etc. as I don't know how long they will last. It's ok but feels just a little fragile and I don't want to push my luck.For the money it is definitely worth a punt and so far has solved my problem without spending a ridiculous amount on a proper broadcast studio setup. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ideal for home office *by D***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 March 2021* The Earamble Adjustable Microphone Suspension Boom will be ideal if using at home as a startup product. It is by no means the high end devices you expect in the music of broadcast industry, nor is it meant to be.The clamp fits onto the desk with ease and will account for quite a thick surface. The plastic collar does that holds the boom arm at the base moves around a bit (flexible in within the metal fitting) so be sure to swing the mic with care. The spring arm is strong and will stay in the position you leave it, so no drooping when on a call!
