Durable enough for decorative prints only
This should only be used for decorative projects, not functional parts.Prints fade in the sun too

Great PLA. Works smoothly and created flawless prints. First roll replaced by Gizmo, but don't let that deter you. Good stuff!
I bought other Gizmo PLA and they were fine, but this one was a dud. It was very brittle and snapped in the middle of long print runs. I can only use this for small items because it is unreliable. I'd come back after an hour and my 3D printer would be running but nothing would be coming out of the nozzle. I switch PLA to another roll and no problems. That's when I realized it was just this roll that had issues. Maybe Gizmo needs better quality control.UPDATE: 10/2/15I always love doing business with companies that stand behind their products and take care of their customers. Gizmo saw my review and reached out to me to try and resolve my issue. Even though I had bought this roll over 3 months ago, they were willing to send me out another sample roll to test with my Lulzbot Mini 3D printer. As I mentioned earlier, I bought several rolls of filament from them and the Green was the only one that was super brittle and snapped mid-print.The new roll arrived quickly and I immediately put it to the test. It worked smoothly with no air popping noise, no snapping mid-print. Everything you would expect from quality filament. Thanks Gizmo! You've made a loyal customer and I will continue to buy more PLA and filaments from you in the future, knowing that a reputable company stands behind it.

Not too bad - watch for tangles
This purple isn't as translucent as you might be hoping it was. In normal light it looks flat with only a hint of sparkle. If you light it dramatically it has a really nice glow, so for things you put on a windowsill it might be fine. Your typical vase in a typical room is going to look deep purple not a crystal purple. It prints fine although when the spool arrived I was a bit concerned to see several obvious crossovers on the filament wind on the spool (potential tangle/jam points). Mine has been fine thus far but before you launch into a big print be cautious. Comes sealed in a bag with desiccant and a bit of stretch wrap around the filament itself, end is tied off on the side. All in all an OK filament, but at $26 it's not cheap and the bad winding job on the spindle is a bit off-putting. You expect that from $10 filament but you get into more expensive stuff and you expect them to know how to wind filament correctly.

Go with non translucent PLA
This particular spool of PLA has a tendency to snap clean off of my feeder while not in use. None of my other spools (including Gizmodo standard Green) have ever snapped. I will run a full print with ease, turn my printer off, and leave the filament in place as everyone always does. Except when I return to my printer, the spool has snapped right above my feeder, leaving the free end of the spool tangled around my spool holder. Like I said, I have not experienced this with any other kind of PLA. Also, the translucent green has a harder time printing a prints first layer. Compared to Gizmodo standard green and even hatcbox standard orange, the gizmodo translucent green does not adhere very well to itself during the first few layers of a print. Often times a few strands of the second layer will peel out as a print continues. Sometimes a small gap in a wall is visible with this translucent green spool during the start of a print.

Eh it's works sorta.
First few prints worked great and now has trouble feeding. Gets stuck. I have to snip and reinsert it for it to work so I lost a bit of material along the way. But prints that do come out look great though.

For the price, it is fine.
With this roll so far I printed out 6 large pieces. I got a thin spot in one print and had to reprint it-- So roughly 85% successful. At this price point that seem acceptable to me. Now, this is my first print with clear PLA. It seems as good as others I see online but here is a pic of three prints that make one part over 15 inches long. You make the call on whether that is a good a print or not.

Good stuff, yes it does look a bit orange ...
Good stuff, yes it does look a bit orange when printed, but I find this is definitely a function of how many shells / how thick your print is. If you have a decent printer here is what works for me: 230C hot end, no heated bed, use airwolf nano (ditch the tape guys, you will kick yourself for not using nano after the first time), and kick on the fan after 4 layers. No fan = terrible "flat" surfaces on print. All other FDM print rules seem to apply fine (rafts, shells, etc etc)

Infuriatingly brittle
I like the translucent finish, and it printed precise, pretty parts. I needed higher temps than I did with ultibots pla: 195 head/75 bed.But for some reason the filament gets brittle as it sits in the machine. I haven't had it fail during a print yet, but about five times now, after a print is done and the machine is just sitting there, the filament spontaneously snaps off. The next foot or two of the filament is quite brittle (easy to break with my fingers), then it returns to being mostly pliable. So I throw away a couple feet of filament, and go through the reloading ritual. I haven't put the built pieces through much stress yet, so I don't know if the output parts are also brittle. On a scale from 0 (Hatchbox, sent back to Amazon) to 10 (Ultibots), this stuff is a 5: the brittle breakage is irritating enough that I'd only buy it again if I run out of filament and need some more next-day from Amazon.---- Update: let's make it a 2. I printed maybe 0.25kg. The first couple prints, no problems. Then the filament would become brittle and break after each print, for another ten prints or so. Irritating because it required reloading the filament every time, but not yet had it ruined a print. Today, it broke mid-print and ruined the print, so I pulled the spool out. Thankfully a couple spools of Ultibots filament had arrived yesterday, so I'm back to printing with good stuff. Looks like this spool is headed back to Amazon. :v(
