KoveaPower Nano Gas Camping Stove

The media could not be loaded.  This Kovea Nano is a light and very sturdy little gas stove without the high price, the ensemble hardly be found in this time of capitalism. It is made of industrial grade stainless steel and aluminum.I found out, moreover, this Kovea Nano stove has passed the Korean Fire prevention and Safety Commission, and the Korean Standards test program which is the South Korean governmental organization for testing industrial product. Wonder why this product is so rugged and sturdy…Downside of this sturdiness is that this stove is a bit heavier for this kind of backpack stoves, it is 96 grams (MSR Pocket Rocket 2 weighs 73 grams, Primus Crux 86 grams, and the prices were double of Nano). But, I can always trade this little gig for the reliability.Not only the sturdiness, the flame control of this little stove is also amazing. (ref. to my video) From full bloom to simmer to extinguish is really easy, and vice versa. The full bloom puts out about 7300 BTU, meaning that it boils a cup of water between 2 to 4 minutes depends upon the surrounding condition. Therefore, you have to be careful of your fuel, for Kovea Nano takes around 38 minutes to empty the 100 gram fuel canister.I gave 4.6 stars for the little tricky setup of the pot supports, but I could not. It takes two steps to set up the stove; pull all the supports to up right position, then extend. However, you can master this setup in no time.I hike for trout in US. From Gila and Apache trout to Yellowstone Cutts, from Golden to Greenbacks… I carry camping gears, fly angling gears, and camera equipment… on my back. So, I only pack RELIABLE equipment.Even though I would not take this Kovea Nano stove to more than 3 day hiking, I will take it for a couple of day hiking. For it meets my needs; good cooking and sturdiness.
