**Q: Dose this work for kids and how long will they last**
A: They seem durable, 5lbs was good enough for me. Depending on kids' size you can determine if 5lbs is good for them.

**Q: I’m a women with smaller hands. How big are the grips on these dumbbells?**
A: Better a larger grip for better grip and wrist strength.  Smaller grips do almost nothing for grip and wrist strength.

**Q: Can these hold up if they get constantly wet? Or will they hold up well if they are submerged under water?**
A: Although I have not used them in water, they seem to be completely sealed in the vinyl.  I do not believe any water could penetrate into the weight at all.

**Q: Do these have an odor?**
A: No, the dumb bells have no odor.

I needed an in between set of weights and personally prefer a rubber handle over metal. These 7.5lbs fit the bill. I have no issues with the coating …there are no cracks or seams affecting the dumbbell. The handle is thicker than my 8 lb metal weight but that is not an issue for me. I like the shape because they cannot roll when you put them down. They were packed well and are holding up nicely.
