This book is worth ten times its weight in actual gold. I made a recipe already, and it was DELICIOUS and easy to follow. I'd never made a quiche in my life and now I've made 12 perfectly delicious ones! The best part is that this ISN'T JUST RECIPES! It's fully planned themed picnics of varying effort to make, it's how to package and transport and display foods when you get done making them. It's drinks and desserts and salads and meals. It's cute ways to display things, portion sizes for the number of guests. I thought I would be getting one of those cookbooks with a few good things in it and a whole lot I would never use, but I want to try almost EVERY recipe! Especially if they're even half so good as the quiche.

A bit dissatisfied. The recipes are not your everyday meals instead having things like oysters to serve on a picnic. (??) lolI actually bought this as a gift for a young girl during a church banquet but there’s an entire section for alcoholic beverages and decided against it.

I was pleasantly surprised by just how gorgeous this little book is. It has a wealth of recipes and suggested menus. Very well written and lovely illustrations, I've shown it to several friends and family. I've even given it to a niece as part of her picnic wedding gift that I put together in a Scout hardbottom cooler. It would work well for tailgates or porch parties, too. I've only made one recipe--the Elderflower Pimm's Cup cocktail, but it was delicious and aesthetically pleasing. I look forward to using this for many years.

The book arrived in great condition. As stated in the description, there is slight shelf wear. The contents are just what I wanted: (unthought of) tips and (unheard of) recipes. Salmon Tartare & Cobb on a Stick are pictured.

I love this book! It’s more than a cookbook, it has a ton of great tips and ideas for pulling off a perfect picnic. There are no photos but the drawings are really cute and get the idea across. I can’t wait to try these out!

Perfect addition to the wedding shower gift I gave my neice .. the Canterbury picnic basket! She and I along with the rest of the guests at shower actually took the time to look thru it and just adore it! Such great lil ideas ❤️

This is a perfect book to beat the winter blues and dream of warmer days ahead! The illustrations are dreamy and the recipes are artisan inspired with simple instructions . 💗 it!

I really love the concept of this book--all about picnics. The artwork is simple, charming, and inspiring. The cover itself is a treat for book lovers.The menus, notes, suggestions, and recipes are lovely and sophisticated but not complicated. The authors are part of the Portland Picnic Society, so they really enjoy picnics and it shows. I only wish the authors would publish a sister cookbook for those of us who are vegan and gluten free. Most of the recipes contain dairy, meat, eggs, gluten, or fish, so I gave this book to my mother who eats all of those foods. And she loves it! I highly recommend this book to omnivores everywhere!

A lovely variation of a picnic cook book. Soft watercolour illustrations add that touch of serenity to a picnic preparation. Slightly damaged corner when it arrived.

The book was part of a Wedfing gift. It arrived quickly but upon close examination it appeared to be a bit worn on the edges. I had no time to repurchase so I had to wrap it as is.
