Either Balance body made their pilates circle with less tension or this is not an authentic product. I tried the same pilates circle with Balance body logo at a pilates studio and the tension there was at least 2x of what this one had. Also, the pads made crunching sounds when compressed like it was glued on cheaply and could fall off in the future. I would not recommend for this price point, I would have just kept the less expensive($15) circle if I knew the quality would be about the same.

I spent hours looking through reviews on various types of magic circles before choosing this one and I'm glad I did. It's well constructed, feels sturdy, and the pads are solidly affixed to the ring. The cushioning around the actual metal ring is soft and pliable. The few I was able to find in stores were very cheaply made, flimsy and of overall poor quality (nothing name brand in the stores I went to; it's astonishing how difficult it is to find these in sporting good stores near me!).I only have two gripes with it, and both could just be the result of poor memory regarding magic circles (it has been years since I took an actual class, so I'm basing my opinion entirely on memory of professional products used in class that might not have been as good as I recall).My first gripe is that I thought it would have more tension/resistance in the actual ring. I feel like I remember them being harder to actually squish. That said, my first few workouts with this ring satisfied me that this ring provides enough resistance for an effective workout.My second gripe is that my ring seems less a circle and more an oval, not by much, and not enough to affect whether the product is effective, since the slightly oblong shape occurs in the two "corners" of the ring that do not contain the pads, so that part of the ring is pushed to that shape during its use anyway. Again, though, it's very possible they all have a slightly irregular shape that I've just not noticed before.Either way, the product does what it should and seems sturdy enough for home usage. The padding makes it comfortable to hold, and I expect it will withstand normal usage. As of this writing (Aug 2014) I have only owned it a short time, so I will edit this review should my prediction not hold true.This can be purchased directly from the manufacturer, but shipping costs are higher when purchasing direct instead of through Amazon.

I did end up returning this ring before my husband used it, as we got a great deal on another one. HOWEVER, we were able to compare the "great deal" ring with this one and I must say, this one is made MUCH better and has a firmer tension. You pay for a better product and this one is hands down much better than the other one. But we know my husband won't use it much and he actually preferred the lower tension. But I would have kept this ring if not for an unreal price deal on the cheaper one. And I do say cheaper as in price AND quality.

The Ultra-Fit Circle is the same as the one I have used at the Pilates studio. I have my own Pilates Reformer at home now and I wanted to have some of the same equipment that I am used to using. This circle is very well made and I have had no problems with it. Balanced Body had it securely packaged and it arrived very quickly. I LOVE their products!

Don't do what I did and try to get a cheaper version. There is simply no comparison to the comfort and the flexibility of the Balanced Body Ultra-Fit Circle. My Pilates instructor recommended this exact one and I thought I could get away with any ring. Simply not true. Aaaahhhh, this is soooo much better. Get it right the first time!

These are the magic circles that my Pilates studio uses, so I wanted one for home. It’s excellent! If you’re looking for a magic circle I highly reccomend investing in this one and not fiddling around with trying any others. I’ve got several other brands taking up space and I wish I had found this one sooner.

I can see that it is much more sturdily made than the ones used in classes at gyms. My wife reports that this ring is comfortable to use. Included short and sweet instructional video.

My pilates instructor said I should get this Balanced Body Ultra-Fit Circle to use in my workouts. She was right. It is very good and easy to take while traveling.Also, I received an email from the owner of the company after I purchased it, and he wanted to make certain it arrived quickly, and in good shape and that I was happy with the product.
