Texas PeteSauce Hot

My favorite hot sauce and I'm able to get it through Amazon Prime! Life can't get any better. I don't like too much heat on my food and Texas Pete gives my food a little extra flavor and mild heat.

Gave it away....thought I was ordering the Garlic hot sauce....it's my favorite....finally got the right stuff but not through Amazon...

The product is great, but the cost of the shipping leaves something to be desired? I would have ordered the (2) 12 Oz bottles with free shipping which would have been a better value for the money, but I'm the only on in my household that use it. So to keep it fresh, I went for the 3 smaller bottles!

I tried this hot sauce in a restaurant in Charlotte, NC and used my Amazon app to order a three-pack on the spot! By the time I got home, my hot sauce was waiting for me. I kept one bottle and gave the other two to co-workers. We all agree it's the one of the best hot sauces available in the market. I particularly love bold flavor without excessive heat. Much better than Tobasco or Frank's Red Hot.

This hot sauce is awesome. I have no idea why they don't sell it in my state, but a local biscuits and gravy place buys it, which is where I got my first taste. It's the perfect amount of light spicy, goes well with gravy, eggs... Similar to Tabasco without the vinegar flavor, and a bit more actual pepper flavor. I would highly recommend this.

Let's be honest folks. This is a fairly nondescript hot sauce. There isn't anything overly special about it. It is basically peppers and vinegar and not much else to set it apart. It is also mild, with less heat than Tabasco. Basically, this is the type of hot sauce you might expect to find on diner tables around the country, if you're so fortunate. I know I have, especially here in the south.I'll admit that there are aspects I really *love* about this sauce. I like pepper and I like vinegar. It pretty much mixes with anything, is mild enough to eat daily and in quantity, and it isn't that pricy. It is a basic sauce that compliments and enhances the flavor of many dishes. You don't have to think when using this, just add it to your eggs, stir-fry, veggies, meat or sandwich and you're good. BUT, ...it has a hard time competing with other sauces if you're looking for flavor. Texas Pete is pretty much peppers and vinegar. That's what I taste. That's fine and it some instance it is for the best. But often I want more. Tabasco has a tad more flavor, but I find it too hot to use on everything. When I'm really looking for the flavor bomb, I go with  Tabañero , Gringo Bandito  or even  Huy Fong Sriracha .I know where I stand with Pete and that's a comfort. He can perk up a lot of foods and not scorch my tongue in the process. But Pete can't quite deliver all the time when I want my heat to really have some flavor. That 's why I've giving the sauce 3 stars. Don't hate me Pete because I think you're "just" okay. I still love you.~ Kort

Great flavor, not overly hot. Excellent for bland chicken noodle soups, eggs etc.

Texas Pete hot sauce. I ordered this hot sauce because I like the old bottles, much to my disappointment it rived in the new Texas Pete bottles. I will never order this again because they don't send you the product that is pictured.

Great hot sauce for applying directly to food.

Fantastic flavour.

Not hot enough

I ordered the original flavour and received the garlic flavour. This was very disappointing as the price was quite expensive and the item is not as advertised.
