I bought this trailer with the intent of using my golf cart to tow it. I understood that I needed to have a creative way to attach the kayak trailer to the golf cart. My solution using a zero turn lawn mower trailer attachment. It’s cheap at about 15 bucks and a simple drill of two holes did the trick.I got my trailer unboxed it laid out all the hardware and assembled it all in about 45 mins .I had zero issues putting mine together I don’t understand all the negative reviews .Obviously if you don’t own a Rambo bike you will need to anticipate a solution to attach the trailer.This is the only trailer of its type I am aware of. It saves me tons of time getting to setting up and packing up at the end of a day of fishing. Because for my setup I like to have my trolling motor and battery mounted and ready to go. This kayak & stand-up paddle board trailer works well for transporting your kayak behind a bike. An electric assist bike works even better. However, don't bother to buy it if you are not ready to modify the hitch. The hitch does not allow the bike to lean over while you are cornering. In fact even hooking the trailer to the bike while the bike is on a side stand is too much lean, and torques the trailer and bike rack. The trailer wants to have both wheels on the ground, and leaning the bike tries to lift one trailer wheel, or twist the bike rack to be level.... ... Riding the bike without modifying the hitch means the trailer tries to guide the bike! Any turn at modest speed involves leaning the bike and the trailer resists.I modified the hitch to allow 3 axis of motion like a ball hitch, as shown in the photo. Rambo knows about this problem, I copied the hitch design from their much shorter R180 beach cart.(Last photo.) I guess in the long kayak trailer Rambo expected the slop in the long trailer center pole to act as a pivot. This did not work well. Another review that shows bracing the center of the trailer takes out most of the 'slop' and makes the issue worse. Rambo should fix this, it would only cost them $1.00. Hence the 3 stars. A ball hitch would get them 5 stars.

I've used this trailer to bike-tow my Wilderness Systems Pungo and recently modified it (rail saddles) to work with a Hobie Lynx. It would be a five-star bike trailer with one exception: it dissolves quickly after exposure to salt water. Salt is tough on any trailer, but there are a few poor design choices here: 1) They could have used aluminum tubing and stainless or galvanized hardware. 2) They could have used plastic wheels instead of steel spoke wheels. The wheels are likely to be the first point of failure as salt gets in the spokes/rim. 3) If nothing else, they could have used a more durable paint or dip that would protect the steel. It's pointless to use this trailer to transport to a boat launch and then use a kayak dolly to roll it down the ramp. I'm now being extra vigilant with rinsing and storing it in my garage but beware, if you are dunking this in fresh or salt salt water, you may not get more than a year or two out of it.

I store a Merrimack brand 15 foot wide bodied canoe (Tennessean) in our garage and I move it to a river on our property to use it. As I am 70, I do not find it convenient to haul it on my shoulders. Also, as this is a quality craft, I do not wish to drag it along the ground. The trailer more than meets my needs, and, during the summer, I will leave the canoe on the trailer instead of moving it to and from the storage cradle. I also have a 17 foot canoe which I use when I have company. Because the dimensions of the trailer can be adjusted, it works well with that canoe too.

The locks for the front bumpers don't hold and in general the thing is a bit flimsy.

Works well for walking my 17ft canoe by myself. Even able to get it over small hills and roots etc. Plus you can wheel it right up to where you plan on dropping it in. Comes apart in two pieces and held together in the center by a cotter pin which helps for breaking it down for transporting.

Overall the strength is poor and flimsy. The 300 lb weight capacity is misleading.I inflated the tires to 36 psi per the marking on the tire itself. I set the tire and wheel on the floor and less than 20 seconds later the thin metal of the wheel rim had permanently deformed enough for the tube to bulge out between the rim and tire bead and explode with a loud boom. Before inflating it I had checked alignment of the tube stem with the wheel rim hole. After inflation I checked proper seating of the tire bead around the wheel rim. After the explosion the wheel rim was badly bent out on most of the diameter. I have had this problem before with bicicycle tires and wheels made in China.

Listing and photo on box are NOT what is inside box. Box and listing show double axle support and quick remove wheels. Actual item has only 1 side wheel support and non removable wheels. Capacity listed is "300 lbs", but instructions say not to exceed 70 lbs (Rambo says 70 lbs maximum bike can tow, can use as hand trailer with up to 300 lbs). Currently in contact with Rambo customer service discussing differences, will update this review if they respond further. Update- RAMBO acknowledged item shipped and photo in listing and box not same, but they did NOT UPDATE the listing/box with new design. Offered full refund if returned- decided to keep- but BUYER BEWARE- Unit still functions well, have Old Town Canoe on trailer right now and pulls easily. Would be 4 stars if box and listing were accurate.
