I have had up to 6 ounce sinkers on a 12’ heavy / medium action rod casting about 260 yards, so quite a lot of force has been put on these slides. None have failed.Update 04/16/2016: I have had a few of these where the plastic slides separate when the weight is 5 ounces or heavier. It has not caused the loss of the sinkers but if not noticed it could abrade the line. I have glued them back together with a small dab of marine goop and they work just fine again.
