Arrived in a timely manner but, with a slightly damaged box. Fortunately the ukulele was none worse for the wear. Could have been packaged a bit more securely though. A good amount of extras for the price. While I'm not a fan of a high gloss finish this finish is a bit dull and boring. I feel as though I need to put something on it to protect the surface. That being said it sounds good and plays easy.

99.5 stars out of 100 actually.This Lohuna Baritone Ukulele is by far the best baritone value under $100.00 on Amazon or anywhere else. This is one of the few baritones braced for high G, C,A,E tuning identical to the other sizes of ukes. Most other baritones are designed for low D,G,B,E. If you play in a group setting, where you may lead and others watch your fingering, or where the ukes are shared, you must have the high GCEA tuning.My observations are:1. All fret ends are dressed properly. No sharp or jagged edges to cut your fingers or snag your clothing or cleaning cloths, or to interfere with your playing.2. An ADJUSTABLE TRUSS ROD runs down the inside of the neck of the baritone helping to keep it from bowing and to make adjustments for neck angle and string height. This is unheard of in an under $100 uke. An adjustment tool is provided.3. Edge binding along the entire body front and back and along the neck for good looks and to absorb minor bumps while protecting the wood edges.4. Fret markers on the top edge of the binding showing you where you are without having to lean over and look for the dots on the face of the neck.5. Sealed tuners keep dust, hair, grit etc. out of the tuning gears.6. Two pre-installed strap buttons. No need to start drilling holes in your brand new uke.7. The included tuner, strap, leather pick, gig bag, and extra set of strings are of decent quality. No need to replace any of them initially.8. The Lohanu Customer Service is legendary. This is my 7th Lohanu uke in addition to two each tenor, concert, and soprano sizes. I had minor issue with one of the sopranos, emailed the company Tuesday night, and the issue was resolved Wednesday morning. Their headquarters are in North America.Almost all ukes are made in China now with no way to resolve any future issues with most of the vendors. Lohuna’s are warrantied for life for all defects and are extremely easy to deal with.10. I played every uke in 4 major music shops before deciding on these 7 ukes and the Lohanu brand sounds better and plays easier than ukes costing $30-$50 more than the Lohanu brand. 11. If I could make one very minor improvement it would be to add the slot type bridge which makes changing a single broken string easier. If you are changing all the strings at once on the current bridge, it makes no difference.12. We have a 10 person friends and family Uke Band. We had a couple very good ukes, but many were very old, beaten up , super glued and duct taped together, and could marginally be played.I wanted to surprise everyone at our next jam and layout the new 7 Lohanu ukes. Everyone was thrilled and the Uke Band never sounded so good.13. I WAS NOT compensated for this review. I ordered and paid my hard earned money to Amazon for this uke, and all the other Lohanus and would gladly do it again.

Not only is this a quality product, the company has stellar customer service! Our order was missing part of the bundled items and rather than have me ship it all back they shipped a completely new ukulele and bundle then told us to keep the first ukulele on them! Totally unexpected and Id certainly buy through them again. Thank you!!

This baritone ukulele is nice. The fit and finish is good. I was surprised to discover the soundboard is X braced, as in a traditional acoustic guitar build. Ukuleles are usually just crossed braced. The string setup at the nut and bridge saddle is good on the one I received, but there was the usual protruding fret ends. Mine arrived with the low DGBE string set preinstalled, and the baritone specific high gCEA string set was included in a package. The ukulele sounds nice strung with DGBE's. The gig bag is lightly padded, and it's made okay. I actually like the included tuner better than a Snark, because the Snark tuners tend to break off where the head secures to the swivel mount. I have two broken Snark tuners. The included strap is just okay.Update:I've owned this ukulele for several months now, and I contacted Lohanu twice for warranty issues. Lohanu claims you have an unconditional warranty, but as far as I'm concerned, you're on your own. I received no warranty service at all. Rather than help, Lohanu just wears you down with endless email questions. They have no desire to offer any warranty. Beware.

Okay, first lets talk about the bundle. The accessories left a lot to be desired. The only thing I found beneficial was the gig bag and the strap. I haven't really used anything else in this bundle. I use a phone at to tune, and since I play guitar already, the Baritone is ideal for transferring chord knowledge.NOW for the BEST PART, the instrument is pretty spectacular for the price. Nice projection. Descent string action. Good construction and design. This may be the best entry to novice level Baritone Ukulele on the market.If you're looking to dip your toe in the water of ukulele playing, I would definitely take a chance on this instrument (ESPECIALLY if you're coming from playing guitar).A NOTE TO THE COMPANY: While the case is adequate, I would like to see a better case option for purchase. One that is more form fitting to your specific instrument and of higher quality. It would be worth the investment. And thanks for a fun, great instrument.

I bought this to join a ukelele group to learn to play. The group leader is a ukelele mandolin dulcimer luthier. He examined the instrument and was astounded at the high quality of the iinstrument. I am using Aquila red strings. I feel the strings supplied are substandard. I paid a luthier to install an electronic pickup. It would be nice if that was available from Lohanu. I soon replaced the soft carry bag with a hard case. Do not hesitate. If you want a baritone ukelele, this is the one to buy. The body has great tone. The fret bar is adjusted straight and true. The frets are level as they should be. The intonation is accurate. The string height is medium; easy to play. As your experience grows, you may want to lower the string height so it plays easier, but that is a personal choice. Buy it.

I waited for about two weeks before posting a review because it typically takes that long for the string to stretch and settle in. Now that they are settled in, the Lohanu Baritone uke stays in tune and sounds quite sweet.I currently own a soprano, concert, and tenor ukuleles from other manufacturers and thought it would be nice to add a Baritone to my collection. Not knowing whether I would like playing a uke tuned to DGBE and having to get used to new cord shapes, I didn't want to spend a lot of money to find out. After playing it for the past week and a half, I really enjoy the more mellow tone and find that the Lohanu Baritone plays well and is a great value. Learning the new cord shapes on the baritone has come fairly easily.I did have an issue with the uke at first, but I got a quick reply from there customer service department and they corrected the problem and made sure I was totally pleased with my purchase.If you are looking to give a Baritone ukulele a try, you cannot go wrong with this one.Update.. After a couple of weeks with this uke I replaced the Aquila strings that came with this ukulele with a set of D'Addario Titanium baritone strings and wow! The sound I got out of this uke went from good to great. Amazing sustain and wonderful intonation up the fret board. Surprisingly good for a ukulele at this price point.

i own several different manufacturers ukuleles. My new Lahanu is my new “go to” instrument !Very happy customer !This is my 2nd opportunity to submit my review. I’m a new student to the instrument. I been taking lessons for 3 months with my original entry level Tenor KALA. The Lahanu Bundle was very appealing and I made the uneducated purchase. I’m sorry to say I am disappointed in the product. My ukelele teacher points out some serious issues re neck alignment, string hight and others. I wish to return the item for a refund. I’m truly disappointed in the quality of the construction, quality control and my own inexperience in terms of not recognizing the difficulty in bringing the instrument to a reasonable playing standard. My teacher advises me that a realignment is a professional project. Please advise. Ron Jones

This is like a dream that has come true. I always wanted a baritone ukulele with the standard tuning high GCEA and Lohanu came with beautiful one.It has a very beautiful sound. I played it to my musical instructor who is a professional musicians and he was extremely pleased with it and its beautiful sound.The price-it can't be better not to mention that it comes with the bag, strings, picks, strap, etc. everything you need so you won't pay for anything else.I believe this baritone ukulele is A MUST for any one who is serious about playing ukulele.

Delivery was amazing , only took two days after ordering.Ukulele was a little less robust than I expected, but after changing the strings to Aquila red series D.G.B.E. Baritone tuning,the sound came to life. To say I was pleased would understate the fact that this instrument sounded like something way more expensive than this price point.Being just a beginner to playing a ukulele, I was not sure that a more experienced ear might agree with my assessment,but having let a couple of real talented musicians play my ukulele they have agreed that this instrument is amazing. The warmth of the sound and in particular the sustain is really at a high level.I would have liked to have seen this baritone ukulele with an electric option but the Lohanu company told me that they were not going to build an acoustic electric version of the LU-B. Great pity.Would purchase their instruments again without reservation and would recommend them to anyone who enjoys playing.I am going to have a lot of fun with mine, oh yeah the strings settled down in less than four days and has held tune since.
