Voit Tuff Coated Foam Handball

I needed some new handballs for my PE classes. I ordered these because of the price and was pleasantly surprised. My students decided quickly that they liked these even better than the previous handballs I was using but could no longer find to purchase. These handballs are the perfect size for middle-schoolers hands. They are light weight but not too light. They held up very well being using on outside courts. The outer layer is still completely intact on all of the balls after being used heavily for 5 weeks. Finally, the material they are made of does not hurt when students are accidentally hit by a ball. I will be buying more of these.

Good bounce works well

I couldn't afford a really nice handball and really didn't need it for my purposes. This one doesn't bounce quite the same way as an inflated one would, and I wonder how it will perform months or years from now. I expect that the foam will get softer over time.Because it's hard to get a handball in the right size without paying for a high quality one, this is a good compromise.

I bought two handballs and they arrived in a timely fashion. I used the handballs with my middle school PE classes (four sections daily) and I had both balls rip within the first week of regular use. The cover of one of the balls completely tore off and the other ball has a large tear in it as well. I think that for $20 a ball that you would get more than two weeks (approximately two hours of use every weekday) worth of use.I'm not sure what I will do next year when I do my handball unit. I know that I can't afford to spent $40 a year on faulty equipment. I am overall disappointed with the durability of the product.

The ball held up well during our team handball games. My students were very rough on it. It did eventually get a cut in the outside casing, but I expected that to happen. I wish it could have held up a bit better but still a five from me. The weight was perfect for teaching as well as the texture. It was easy to grab and not heavy like an official team handball.

For the price and what I used the ball for it was a great value. It turned out to be an effective tool to teach lacrosse concepts in the off season in a fun way. I have already recommended the product at a coaching clinic.

I bought 4 for my school. 1 tore after a week of use. The others are still intact. If more break I'll let you know.

I use this ball to exercise. I am retired and disabled. I like the fact that I can use this ball indoors. It is a bit firm, so care must be taken with fragile objects. I would not recommend this ball for dogs. I have not used this ball outside, so I cannot make any comments about suitability for outdoor use. Works well, and with the bright red colour easy to find.

The ball is a bit small to bounce.

The ball is perfect for young kids but unfortunately the latex split open after 6 days of use.
