My parrot loves these perches, they don't hurt his feet like other ones. Like that they are curved and the grit is not completely around the perch like others. That length of no grit on perch gives his feet a break of constant rough surface to stand on and where the grit is helps trim his nails. This is a nice perch, just watch for which way the bars on your cage runs, I could not get end of perch with groove that fits on bar of cage on bar, my cage is different. I put the end of perch through the space between bars and then tightened the end cap down against the bars, still works great. This by far is the best perch I found over the years of having birds.

Good choice

This XS perch has a smaller diameter than the other XS perch from this same brand. I would not want a larger diameter perch for my canary, to make sure his nails actually reach the grinder part. I like the top is smooth to protect his foot. My cage has both horizontal and vertical bars, so I didn’t have an issue attaching it. It feels very secure. It’s not his favorite perch, but he does use it, so hopefully this will help keep his nails under control now that I’ve cut them to a better length.

I purchased these perches because they have non-abrasive tops that help protect my birds’ feet, prioritizing their health. My cockatiels use them daily, and I appreciate the color options and how easy they are to clean. However, the mounting design, which uses thick black plastic, only works with horizontal cage bars. This made installation tricky for my vertical-bar cage, requiring some creativity. A simple fix would be to replace the plastic mount with two metal washers and a wing nut, a common design for versatile perch compatibility. Overall, a great product with room for improvement in the mounting system.

Horizontal placement. I love these. The other I bought had vertical placement and that did not work on my cage. I’m glad they made horizontal. You should still provide the vertical placement ones for folks who need those. I read the reviews before I purchased these. A lot of people need the vertical ones too.

Just a heads up, this might not fit your cage. The way the screw is does not fit into my cage. Its better for horizontal bars and the screw is too wide for the spacing on my birds cage. The perch cannot be rotated because the smooth part needs to be on top. Seems like a good product though, just not sure how I'll be able to use it.

Keeps nails and beaks trimmed

I bought 3 of these for my Macaws and it has not disappointed. They're poop magnets, but very easy to clean. I just take them outside and spray with the hose (I usually use the 'vertical' setting on my hose attachment for more force) and all the poo comes off, no scrubbing required. The birds like sitting on them, and they're still in great condition after months of use. I also find that the way it attaches to the cage is more user friendly, instead of a wing nut, it uses a big knob-type back.

Our Galah is hardly ever off this Perch, he loves it! Trims his beak regularly and happily. Great Product and highly recommend

Is a good size for a conure...much larger than I thought and was worried at first but it works great and is good quality
