I just like these so much better since they are made of brass. You can't find them at Home Depot anymore. I bought a supply of 2 quarter and 2 half sprays since it seems our sprinkler heads are getting older. One had the half spray and needed the quarter so all I've replace so far is one. I am happy with the strong spray and the quarter size helps the sidewalk get so wet. I recommend these if you still have an old system. I'm a girl who is helping her elderly parents. I had no problems screwing it on. First time I saw arrows to show the direction of the spray. Once you screw you can't see the opening that well.

I planned on replacing all my heads with this unit. I was surprised to find that the head does not retract. At first I thought the unit was not level so I adjusted. No luck. What I found is that unless the unit is 100% level, it will not retract. Over time the ground shifts slightly so there is no way this will stand the test of time. I love the construction, brass over plastic any day. Unfortunately it looks like I'll stick with plastic.

A little disappointed not exactly what I expected and the description said 1/2 inch male thread.ADDED NOTE:Informed Amazon of the error with the end connection description and they have now corrected the information.Which I incorrectly took it to mean the sprinkler ended in a male thread. That is not correct the sprinkler ends in a 1/2 inch female end and needs a 1/2 male threaded nipple to complete the installation.That is not stated nor shown as an added component below.Will see how this actually works in use after installation.

Unbelievably, this sprinkler had no threads inside of it. So attaching it to my unground sprinkler system was impossible. I can’t figure out how their quality control could miss this. Like getting a bolt with no threads.Had to return it.

These are for future use. I installed one about 30 years ago and it is still going strong. I bought these because we just redid our system and I thought some the pipes may be too high but they seem ok for now.

Where so many big-box stores only carry plastic sprinkler heads, it’s great to have a source to purchase these brass heads. The plastic heads tend to break simply if you look funny at them (or run over them with the wheel of the lawn mower). These do a good job of lasting the season and are easily changed out.

Exactly what I needed. My local Home Depot no longer keeps these in stock, so I was thrilled to find them at such a competitive price and with quick shipping.

My boyfriend needed them for a job there was no mention so that is a good thing that there wasn't any complaints and there was no issues all good here
