The other waist trainers I have are mediums, but I followed the size chart very carefully for this trainer and based on my measurements it indicated to order a small - so I did. It fits great, and I could have probably even went down another whole size if they offered it because you really want these to be TIGHT on your body to work well and do what it is supposed to do. DO NOT FOLLOW THE AMAZON SIZE CHART. The seller for this item has uploaded a very nice comprehensive size chart in the PHOTOS section of this listing. Follow it exactly, and you will get the right size.Quality of material is midgrade in my opinion. I have seen waist trainers much more durable, however, they are also price marked at $50+ - this trainer being only $9.99 you can not go wrong - even if it is a back up for when you are washing your other one.
