Test taking strategies, gear to use, tips to make your life easier. Ask your self how prepared do you wanna be? This book was very helpful,to put you on the right path to success. When you ask yourself what certs do I need to do flight nursing? How do I get the right material, what books do I need? You could google it and spend hours figuring it out or just start the process and hope for the best. I don’t recommend this, I personally did and was getting frustrated and didn’t know where to begin. This book tells you what certs you need, what books to read and how to study them for your exams . Can you say one stop shop?? This book is worth your time and effort. Even if your not going flight nursing and choosing a different path like paramedic,PA,Doctor RN etc you can take something away from this book.Over all great read, educational and funny, definitely recommended!

This book is well written, straight to the point, humorous and implements valuable insight.
Robert demonstrates a clear vision on how to become a flight nurse and what it all entails once you are actively working as a CFRN. When reading, The Flight Nurse Bible, I felt as if it was my first day in the field training with him. The images in the book are so vivid, you’re able to get an idea of what the career is like. I can tell Robert is extremely passionate/happy about his career choice and it motivates me to further pursue this path as well. After my experience with reading and speaking to Robert directly, I got the reassurance I needed to know this is my calling. I strongly encourage anyone who is interested in becoming a Flight Nurse to read this book and to reach out to Robert if there’s additional questions.

Could be better…
I’m a new grad that’s been dreaming of flight since I knew it existed. After graduating this month, I decided it’s time to start building my resume and improving my chances of making a flight nurse ASAP… so I picked this book up. It reads like a long-winded Facebook comment or blog post — very informal/conversational with a quirky writing style (Like This & LIKE THIS & LikeThis). Information was okay. Has some valuable tips that I had not read online before (interview tips, gear suggestions, book/study guide recommendations). Also has self-confessed arrogance and unnecessary opinions bleeding through… (Who tells students to not worry about loans?!) Overall, I think this book should have been a blog post, and I would not jive with the author as a mentor.

Bomb ass book
If you want an easy read, motivational book to start your research into flight nursing….this is your book. It had a lot of tips for how to start your career path and things to look out for while you’re in this career field. The author is blunt and says it how it is which I loved. I highly recommend this book

Enjoyable & informative
As a nursing student feeling lost & bored with the basics in class, I decided to take out this book for some much-need inspiration. Flight nursing, (which has never been mentioned by any of my professors) might just be it for me. Or, I’ve wasted the past few years & tens of thousands of dollars on an education that I will never happily use...As of right now, I’m intrigued. This book not only fills you in on many important life or death aspects of the job (your own life & the patients), but also how to get the job in the first place. Everything is simply put & with great humor. definitely recommend to anyone interested or curious about flight nursing.

Great book for new and seasoned nurses contemplating FlightWorld.
The book is fun and easy to read. There is a great section on courses and certifications to get you started on your journey to FlightWorld. The author shares great insights and stories into every aspect of being a flight medic and CCT nurse, including personal wellness and getting a job. It is no nonsense, educational, and surprisingly deep. If you want to become a great flight nurse and gain a true understanding of the gravity of your new profession, this is the book for you.

Great outline for those interested in flight nursing.
I'm a new grad nurse who heard about Robert Harris from a podcast interview. I've been interested in flight nursing ever since, and purchased this book as a way to gain some insight into what to expect on my journey towards being a flight nurse. It is an entertaining, funny book with small tidbits about what to look out for, what to remember, and what to expect. It's not in depth (if you're looking for a more in depth book, this ain't it) but mainly gives a good outline and pointers to flight nursing.
