I was enthused about this star when I first installed it. Not so now, a little month a month since I installed in on my car. As you can see it the attached photo, small cracks or fissures are developing in the clear plastic on the emblem. The fissures are very noticeable and detract greatly from the appearance of the emblem. I had no house other than removing it from my car.So... It's a fine looking emblem before installation. Beware about ordering one as the same thing may happen for you.Further, I have been unable to contact the seller. I wanted to learn of any warranty or other way to replace the emblem.This is the third lighted star I have installed looking for one with enough brightness to see in the daylight. Hence my favorable rating.That said.... Once you get over the unpleasant facts that no instructions accompany the star and that the YouTube videos more likely than not cover some models other than yours, you can delve into the mysteries of the MB fuse boxes. The 2018 Class has four of them, and a code sheet (hidden in the fuse box in the trunk) that is less than one would hope for. The fuse box you want is the one in the engine compartment, driver's side. You need a T-20 bit or wrench to get into it. Once inside plan on spending a great deal of time experimenting to find out which circuits are keyed to the ignition. Also get a "Tap-A-Circuit" fuse holder from your local NAPA auto parts dealer. You will need one to tap into that circuit.Also, the electrical cable provided with the star is about 2 feet too short to allow a truly neat installation. You must add that much to both leads to connect into the fuse box. A saving grace is that the cable and lead from the star have high quality connectors.If you are handy around cars and not intimidated by auto electrical system, you should have no unsurmountable problems. Be patient. The results are worth it.

The true about this light is it can make serious damages to your vehicle electrical system & destroy electronic components. You will end spending a lot of money fixing the car. Don't buy it. It is very dangerous. It come without instruction .

It is not quite as bright as I thought it would be but I'm happy with it. I installed this on a 2016 CLA 250 and it fits great. There isn't the best instructions for installation but Utube has videos. It needs to get 1 wire attached to the car ground & one wire under the headlight fuse.UPDATE: 4.4.20I've had alot of compliments how it adds class to the car.

This should be a pretty simple install and it is overall. Only thing is that you have to know which wire to tap into to get power to the led of this star. I didnt expect the package to come with instructions since it can probably fit into a variety of models and years, but it wouldve been nice. It was a hassle finding the right wire since there were no youtube videos on my exact car and i had to squander the internet to find the answer. I'm used to doing that kind of thing for other installs ive done, but for someone not sure on those type of things, then it might be a little intimidating or hard to know what to look for. Overall easy. If you know what wire on the headlight to tap into, then its a relatively easy install.The only two issues i really ran into are:1. The star doesnt clip in nicely into my 2016 C300. Some of the clips on the star dont fit/clip in like the OEM does. I solved the problem by just clipping them off with pliers to make it fit. It worked pretty well but there was still a bit of gap on the bottom where it didnt completely sit flush. Not that big of a deal for me, but if youre looking for perfect, then you may not like that.2. The star also sits crooked a bit. This might sound odd at first but youll know what this means once you install and you see that it looks like you placed it a bit to one side. Then you realize its not you, its just the star doesnt clip into an exact centered position. I was able to slightly fix this by aggressively twisting it to the right. It took some effort but it did move enough so that it doesnt look close to perfectly straight, but if you REALLY look, you can tell its off just a bit.Overall this is fine for 40 bucks, but just know ahead of time what wire you need to tap into and expect some slight modification with pliers. BTW i found which wire on my car by just taping into all the wires on the headlight and see which one turned on/off with car. On my 2016 C300 i believe i used the red with yellow line wire.

So, after one day of having it installed I feel this is an OK product. Would honestly rate this higher if it had actually fit my vehicle. It was advertised as fitting pre-lci GLKs. This is actually not true. Description currently states that it fits “GLK W204” when a GLK is an X204. I assumed this was a type-o and assumed wrong. I am a skilled mechanic(honestly fit and finish isn’t a specialty of mine but i am well beyond novice level) and after two hours of careful filing I was still unable to get this to fit perfect in the GLK grille. The bottom fit on the putter ring is acceptable but there is a gap at the top 2/3 hemisphere. I will frankly go elsewhere to get the correct part, but i do appreciate the fact that there is a jumper harness in the kit allowing you to remove the emblem without cutting the wires etc. The design of this in my opinion(only one day of use), is respectable. It’s a nice looking emblem right out of the box and is easy to wire in(I used my right dog light). Appearance at night is AT LEAST what I would hope for, or expect. Pics attached. Was a little skeptical at first but was an easy install once I got it. Could have installed a few ways but had to buy a $10.00 harness set to install and it worked. Could have spliced into other wire or the fuse box. The harness was the safest way without altering and of the car wires. It matches my original LED lights on the head lights. I love the way it looks as you can see, and I am very satisfied.
