Stanley 16-327 3-Inch X 8-1/2-Inch FatMax Brick Sets with Bi-Material Handle Guard

Recently, I have purchased several dozen of the Stanley FatMax Tools for my Sons ... and a set for me. Each one is crafted out of the finest hardened metals and the hand-guard on each chisel is very useful. All you need to do is hit your hand with a small sledge hammer as is slips off a 'standard' Chisel [operator being a bit careless] ... and you'll wish you had one of these quality guards to prevent hurting your hand. It works well.As mentioned, I have purchased several dozen FatMax hand tools. The prices are very competitive and the quality is always first rate. One of my sons is an Engineer in Building Construction and the other is a Construction Professional. These tools are used on a weekly basis. Each loves the Fat Max products. Wonderful tool.Well designed--almost impossible to whack your hand with a hammer.Good weight, strong steel. Recommend you go to YouTube for some instruction on cutting bricks.Measure, mark, cut the mark (on all four sides) with smart hammer taps on this chisel.Then set it on edge, fit this tool into the mark you chiseled, and whack it harder.Brick should cut neatly, just where you want it.

It's a brick set for small masonry work around the yard. It's solid, but not quite professional quality. I bought it to shape standard clay bricks for some grass curbing. It did well. I particularly like the guard on the top. It helps with grip and also keeps the hammer off your hand if it slips.

Good quality, sturdy, got the job done. Nice heavy duty item that does what it is supposed to do. Comfortable grip and protective ring is nice so I don't wack myself with the hammer.

It's a brick-set type cold chisel with a hand protector. It works as it's supposed to.-- broke pavers and bricks without smashing my hand even once.

This item hasn't been put to use yet but it is a hefty chisel. Have some block work to do and having smashed my hand with a hammer in the past while wailing on a cold chisel to break blocks, I'm certain that the guard built into this chisel will deflect any mis-hits.

Heavy chisel. Good price. Didn't really work for my application of removing floor tilebut a nice tool. Besides Stanley helps you do things right.

So far it works great and does its job well. It keeps my hand from getting banged up because I'm not very skilled in the art of swinging a hammer and hitting the head of a chisel. Happy with my purchase, however I should have bought this in the first place rather than hit my hand with the hammer 8 times before deciding to find a chisel like this. I'm not smart.

Used to demo a damaged section of a brick wall (without just knocking down a full section). Managed to precisely cut bricks in half without breaking them away from the mortar. Great tool build quality as well, saved my hand a few times.
