Almost impossible. Even more worrysome are the tiny scratches you put on your valuable electronics while you try to connect them to this contraption.It has a nice, heavy base, and is generally attractive. I was going to invest in more cables & charging adapters but saw this which is MUCH more convenient & no cable clutter. I also sat it on the couch & was able to watch a video on the iPad while it was charging - so it's a convenient stand. The connectors are on rockers, nice fit. My 12" iPad has a case which prevented a good connection but my husband trimmed the lower edge and got a firm connection. Every device charged quickly equivalent to the original Apple Adaptors.
