Within two hours there were limited ants moving about but with no structure to their movements ie not following the ant run. Never seen a poison work so effectively very impressive. Had an ant issue inside and outside my kitchen, tried the usual powder plus some other bait products and none seemed to work. However set this down, and within 12 hours there was a huge number of ants around it, then 24 hours or so later there were zero ants in my kitchen. Found dead ants. Aren't they supposed to go back to the colony?** A: Good question! They do go back to the colony to share the bait, and they also come back to the bait because they like it so much. It's not unusual to see dead ants in or near the bait station. Depending on the size of your colony, you should stop seeing ants within 2 days to 2 weeks. **Q: Can these be used effectively outdoors?** A: If you could put them in a spot where they wouldn't get rained on and bait washed away I wouldn't see why not, though I have not used them that way.
