I got this as a goof to see what it would sound like if I stuck it under the strings of an electric guitar. As I suspected, it was too sensitive and picked up alot of noise from my hand. Because, that's not what it was designed for.I do, however, have an acoustic guitar that I really like that doesn't have electronics, so I figured I'd stick it inside that and see how it sounded. I was pleasantly surprised. It sounded great, so I got out some tools and installed the volume pot and output jack to the top of the guitar, now my old acoustic is an electric/acoustic. All for under ten bucks. You really can't go wrong if all you want to do is turn an acoustic into an electric acoustic.Just don't try to turn an electric guitar into an acoustic guitar with this. It won't work. But it was fun to try!

The actual product was okay. Unfortunately, it came to me partially broken. Could’ve happened in transit as the broken parts were still all in the plastic it came in with. What could’ve been a better sound from it’s piezo, I fear, might have been diminished by the missing parts of the plate.

I've used a few of these now. They work great and are super-easy to install. Great value.

It works great, not certain that a piezo unit needs a volume control as it still has to feed through your amp to work. I had to re-do some of my sensor locations as I didn't leave enough wiring slack for the final assembly of my cigar box ukulele soundboard. I used Gorilla glue to augment the 3M sticky patches. Happy with the results.

I used a couple of these bad boys in a DIY Apprehension Engine-type soundbox. Low noise, great detail, and enough signal strength that the pots are actually useful!

This pick up worked exactly as advertised and as needed. It is not great sound, but in my application that was not really necessary. The volume (gain) control works kind of weird - at first it doesn't do much (roughly first third of the turn) then it works exactly like you'd expect (second third) and then very unexpectedly it becomes a distortion (last third) which ended up being a surprise benefit.If you need clean sound it can accommodate you at lower volumes, but really treat this as you would the gain control coming off any electrical instrument. It's not exactly volume control as much as it's controlling how much of the sound do you want but at higher positions it just gets a gnarly distortion.

Great little pickup for my cigar box guitar. I used the self-adhesive pad that was already on the pickup to mount it directly under my bridge. Plug it in the amp and start shredding!! Easy to use. Fantastic volume range (it's pretty hot) and great tone. Add a little reverb to your amp and bang out them blues. You could use this is a lot of different instruments. I was very pleasantly surprised. I will be buying more of them.
