I much prefer these. They have a strong spring, the metal is sturdy and has a nice sheen, best of all the claws that hold the ice have small teeth that grip very well. I prefer larger pieces of ice, and the teeth are great at holding onto even the heaviest and most irregular chunks. My only negative is that the edges of the metal are not as well-finished as I’d hoped. On both sets I got, the exterior edges won’t cut your skin, but they almost feel like they might, and the internal metal edges aren’t smooth, they have tiny bumps.
