Buying a bent axle was more economical than buying an axle bender. Not only did he win his age group, this year he won the whole thing against 40 other kids. The notches were great to align them with ease. This was used for the front wheel to 'rail ride'. I only used 1, as the other wheel used a standard axle and the notch in the wood to allow for the wheel to ride up as to not contact the surface.
