Delft Blue Grape Hyacinth Mix 20 Bulbs - Muscari - 8/9 cm Bulbs

I have ordered these twice. The first bulbs immediately sprouted (planted indoors, mid-summer). the price was reasonable, though more expensive than if I had gone to a home improvement store. I did not notice any scent but most commercially available flowers & plants are scent-less these days (‘tis a shame, right?!). about the reviews complaining about the color... the color is dependent on the soil you plant in, sort of like a hydrangea. bonus tip: these are one of very few bulbs that I’ve seen growing well indoors (just don’t put it in your darkest corner) and are cat-safe. If fluffy takes a nibble, you won’t have to rush fluffy off to the vet. I don’t know if it’s safe for dogs... but the aspca has a plant toxicity database you can check for fido’s safety.

The corms were in great condition. Hyacinths only get about 6 inches tall. I planted them in the fall. Each one came up beautiful in the spring. I do not dig them up and they have appeared for 2 years in a row. And I think they spread. After they flower, they die down in the summer. In the fall, the leaves grow out but not the flowers.

Sweet little spikes of fairy-like flowers! When I received the bulbs, they looked shriveled and I wondered if they would grow successfully. My experience with bulbs of any kind has been that they are firm and plump. I was pleasantly surprised with the growth and blooms!

Complete garbage. The order is supposed to be 20 bulbs. Three , the largest, were smaller than half my thumb. Half the order were bulbs the size or smaller, than the finger nail of my pinky. Additionally, not a single bulb looked healthy. I threw them out and I regret it because I should have taken a picture before writing this review. I am amazed that anyone would sell this.

The bulbs are kind of small and will take some time to grow large blooms.

Bulbs arrived very healthy and these grew incredibly quick. I am growing these out of Fort Lauderdale in March. Plants in photo is about 14-16 days after placement in soil. I had purchased these thinking they were regular Hyacinths, these are not the same. Regardless they are a pleasant surprise, will be back for more!

I waited until these came up in the spring to write a review. They arrived on time and in good condition, I planted them in the fall with a layer of mulch on top. They are all coming up now and although there are two different types (the leaves are different -- some fan out from the "base" and others have one leaf that is "wrapped" around the flower) they are all the same color. The picture does not look like what I actually got. All the flowers are a dark blue color. There are no other shades of blue or white, and none are two-toned like in the picture.

I ordered daffodil and tulip bulbs from this company as well and only the grape hyacinths bloomed. As annoyed as I was about the ones not blooming, the hyacinths were so charming that it made up for my disappointment. They looked best in the small to medium planters that I have outside. They bloomed in the small area planted near a tree as well but would have made a better impression had I planted them in significantly greater volume than the 20 that were used.
