Very Nice Accent Lights
Got these today and installed them on my cedar fence posts. Very stylish lights and well built. The sun went down, and all the lights came on casting a nice glow over the back yard. I am very happy. I'm ordering another set today.

Needs higher quality components.
The lights look great and worked well the first season. After the first season some of the lights began to dim quickly. This was resolved by installing better quality rechargeable batteries. Also the lenses on the solar panel became cloudy and needed to be polished clear. After the second season several of the lights began to fail. After disassembling and inspecting them I noticed that the connection between the LED board and wiring had failed. The wire is not much thicker than a human hair and the product would be greatly improved with a slightly heavier gauge wire.

You can make it work on a 5.5” square wood post.
First off, these are not the cheap plastic imitation solar lights. These are well built, perfect brightness and cast a great shadowy effect because of the glass.I used Thea in 6x6 treated lumber Post even though they are not designed for them. I uses some 1/4” x 1/2” trim to do a built out and the fit great and no one really can tell they are not made for the post. I did nothing fancy on the build out. No miter cuts since no one would see and since the post have been exposed for 9 years they weren’t exactly square anymore but the trim pieces flexed enough so the caps fit great.

Metal housing. Looks great, not for area lighting but to look nice. (Bought 6)
1st whoever reviewed... saying the tops pop off easy was incorrect, they do twist off though... I almost did not buy them because of that review. My tops slide into some slots so they do not fall off but i could see if someone were to turn them they could come off.So far we absolutely love them. They measure 6 1/8" sq ID at base. They are not very bright because they only have 1LED but the light they put off is very elegant and look great. The light is more for a mood not for lighting up an area.they do attract gnats though. (day light bright will which they are)

Good and bright lights
Got the lights and the first thing we noticed was how well they were packed. The lights have a good quality finish and were easy to install. Once charged they have adequate brightless and lasted all night. Happy with the purchase.

Nice quality lights, but be aware of sizes fit. Updated after 7 months:
Initially, I recommended these; not any more!First, I loved the lights. The look and quality is outstanding, and while they've only been up a few days, they seem to charge pretty well even though they're in the shade a good part of the day - lots of trees! A little pricey, but so much nicer than the cheap plastic solar lights, these are metal & actual glass. Now the downside: We just had our deck rebuilt, and the builder used 6x6 treated posts all around. Unfortunately, the manufacturer of these lights chose to size the adapter (which is plastic) for 6x6 PVC rather than wood, although wood posts are probably used far more often. Don't know why they did, but as a result the adapters, at a true 6", are about a half inch too big for nominal 6x6 wood posts.A bit of 1/4 inch sticky foam weatherstrip under the rim, careful aligning, and judicious tightening of the 2 screws worked out just fine though, and they really add the finishing touch to the new deck, and they really set off the stairs.I used 10 lights for the corner posts, which we cut taller, and used Atlanta caps for the shorter inline posts, and we were initially very happy with the results, then lights began to fail.Update: I have a total of 12 of these lights. After about 7 months of use, most of the lights are still working. Some batteries are already becoming noticeably weaker (i.e., shorter run time even accounting for less daylight hours or cloudy conditions) and three of these have failed completely, apparently due to the seals failing and rainwater getting inside of the unit. There is corrosion on the underside of the lid, around the LED plate, the tiny wires shorted out on the back, and the lights are shot. Not good at about $24 per light, barely over a half year lifespan!

Very solid design!
This product is a perfect fit for the 4x4 post on my privacy fence. The LED lights create a pleasing effect illuminating from the fixtures glass. I would have rated 5 star but the top of the unit could have a tighter fit.3/10/2020 Updated review. Two lights quit working within a two year period. I swapped out the batteries and placed them in a working light and the batteries are OK. Not sure what the problem is and I'm sure the units are out of warranty. I will make an attempt to contact the manufacturer for assistance. At the purchased price point I was expecting to get better performance and longevity. I will update my findings when I hear back from the manufacturer.

Beautiful and functional fence post lighting
Well constructed metal solar light caps were easy to install and look amazing. Really finishes the look of the fence and provides excellent lighting for our walkway. Not too bright, but enough to see our way and just what we needed.
