HohnerRocket Amp Harmonica - Key Of A

Started out with a G. The 3 hole was dead. Replaced with another G harp and the 3-hole draw was dead. Replaced with a key of A... the 7 and 8 holes buzzed wildly on the blow, and the 8 draw was dead. Received another A harp today and the 6/7/8 holes all buzzed terribly on the blow. So bad that you can literally feel it in your teeth eyeballs when playing. Unfortunately, either the seller is getting bad stuff to sell, or Hohner harps are not so good anymore. I still have Special 20 that is working great. But, I'm done with the Rocket and Rocket Amp harps.

I just got a G and an A from Amazon and tried them out with some blues, Irish, and a rag. Both are great harmonicas. I have many brands and like different ones for different reasons. These Rocket Amps are fast - they respond to glides and bends really well. Maybe bigger holes, maybe good fit of reeds to the comb - I don’t know, but they play nicely. I played them acoustically, but the closed sides (meant for playing with a mic) lend this harp to playing with acoustic hand cupping techniques very well.

I own a number of brands and all the keys (minor tunings included!) so when I say the Hohner Rocket Amp is the cleanest sounding, easiest blowing loud-sounding harmonica, I speak from the experience of highs and lows, from satisfactions and disappointments. In short: I LOVE MY HOHNER ROCKET AMP in Key of A! ... I never leave home without it!

Tone is bright for Rock music like it says on the box. The plastic reed box is good easy on the human. Like it but they are correct this is not a Blues type harp sound wise. Look thru there material specs and see. I tried there Crossover Marine Band works fine for the Blues.

It’s easy to play. The larger note holes make it easier to get single notes.Bends are great and a breath goes a long way.

The harmonicas have a great sound, coupled with a very comfortable feel
