Cells and more cells!
I watched a Molly’s Artistry video where she compared 4 different medium mixtures. The Amsterdam white with just water gave the most cells by far. I’ve been using it for months and getting great results. It’s not as thick in the tube as Creative Inspiration or Liquitex, so it’s expensive for a beginner/intermediate but totally worth it. I only use it for swiping because of the expense right now.

I follow a Canadian Artist who paints on YouTube every week. He recommends using Amsterdam paints, as they're not expensive and are a good quality true colour for mixing with other paints. He's absolutely right. I'm new to painting so I don't want to spend a fortune on paints. I use 6 colours, all Amsterdam, plus titanium white and mix all the colours I'll ever need from them. I mucked about with several different brands of white before chucking them all away and sticking to Amsterdam. White is white right? no.. some are so thin, some are too thick.. none of them seemed to mix well. I'll stick with Amsterdam.
