This fan is a lifesaver
I meant to write a review earlier but the good news about waiting is you get to hear what several months of use is like compared to if I just received the item and quickly wrote about it. 2020 has been a heck of a year.. I bought this in the beginning of summer. I have purchased many battery powered fans over the year and have always been disappointed, even by the best one. Finally the battery power (this fan being my first rechargeable fan) and fan speed/efficiency that I have been looking for is here. I bought the 16" large version (without hose hookup) because I didn't want to risk a smaller version leaving me wanting more power, however, I convinced my parents to buy the 12" version with the hose hookup so I know what the smaller size can handle. I am glad I got the bigger fan but the smaller fan (albeit less power) gives my parents what they were looking for, especially with the hose vapor hookup. I go camping and I also like to lounge in my backyard on hot days so I bought a fan that would be portable. I was instantly attracted to the quiet sound this fan made while being able to be legitimately powerful. It might not give you the highest power I've ever seen from an electric fan that is large and in charge but for a wireless fan, this did what I hoped for. I love the speed control knob that let's me fine tune how much power I want to give. The more power, the less battery time you get (higher power range will give you only 2-3 hours, medium power can last a full night). But when you use it on a lower power it is still a good output and the battery will last a full day (maybe 16-20 hours or so). That said, a lot depends on the placement of the fan. On a really hot day, you may need to put the fan a lot closer to you for the effect. But if you have the ability to put the fan really close to you then even the lower power levels will be effective on very hot days. I also started using the fan while working from my house during the pandemic. My work area would get hot regularly and the fan on low chilled me plenty and was nice and quiet with very little vibration. I use it plugged in a lot as well. Then, it happened. There was a terrible storm and the power went out on a hot week for 7 days. Luckily I was prepared with this fan. It was so hot and I was so uncomfortable but this fan made it possible to sleep in my bedroom (I used another fan plugged into a generator). The fan was small enough to fit on my tv table by the bed so this fan blowing on us did a lot more than the larger fan on the ground that was plugged in. I even borrowed my parents smaller fan since their power did not fail them and so I had alternating rechargeable fans going from this company. Another thing that comes in handy is how quickly it charges from 0% to 100%...maybe a couple of hours. I'm a big.....fan.....of this product. :)

💨 🌬 Easy, Breezy, Beautiful FAN Outside 💨 🌬
I've been having this fan for a while now, and will be getting another due to my large boxer dog sitting right in front of it, blocking my airflow, to keep the bugs away! Air hog! Is the fan worth the money? I was hesitant to fork out the cash, BUT its worth every penny! EVERY! PENNY! Powerful fan. High setting gives about an hours worth of use, HOWEVER, high setting is very high, and I can't think of many uses for such power. I use my fan on about 1/3 speed and it lasts 3-4 hours, keeping me cool, and the bugs away, which is wonderful! Takes just under an hour to get a full charge. Another plus. I live in Louisiana, in a very hot and humid climate. I use this fan for the better part of the year to keep me cool, and maybe even more importantly, to keep the swamp mosquitos at bay!! I don't have an outlet/receptacle to plug a fan outdoors near where I spend a lot of my time. I also take this fan with me places for gatherings and events that are held outdoors. - Very light weight and easy to carry around. Everyone asks where I got the fan from, and compliments on the power and ease of tote, of the Geek Aire fan. Once, it came in use for an elderly and handicap person, who was trying to keep cool at a Louisiana baby shower held outdoors. I couldn't watch her in un-comfort, so I let her borrow the fan, and she was so grateful. The battery lasted for the entire baby shower. Thats including before and during. ...with a little juice to spare. :) I've also taken it to a campground, and birthday parties. I've used it to help the dry time paint on doors that I painted. I use it to quickly move it from one location to the other to dry mopped floors. I use it alllll the time!! The battery charge has held up very well in my heavy use of the fan. I have always been more than happy to have it! - That's actually quite an understatement!! Noise? Please refer to the video for your own judgement. Please be sure to have your volume on. I would say it depends on if fan noise bothers you, or if you need quiet for a particular reason... and it actually depends on the speed the fan is set to. The fan is almost mute on low setting. On high setting, the fan puts out a fair amount of noise, but that noise is comforting to me. I sleep with a fan near my bed, in an already freezing cold house, because I like the sound of a fan drowning out all other sounds. Its comforting. With that said... No matter the speed setting, the noise does not bother me, and I can still hear the birds chirping :) The fan is extremely light and easy to tote around. I would, AND DO, recommend this fan to everyone!! Seriously, check my reviews. I don't leave many reviews, and I don't push products!! This is an item that I use every day! And also, before the summer hits, I'm going to be getting at least one more, to offset my air hog dog!

Fan Still Works Like New
I’ve owned this fan since June of 2021 and I am very pleased with it. I use it mostly on my patio in warm weather. The bright yellow color stands out even after the sun goes down which helps everyone to see it and not trip over it. It’s great for blowing the mosquitoes away. Now, during the cold weather months, it’s put to use to dry floors after they are mopped. I also aim it at my drying rack where I hang clothing that does not go into the dryer. It’s powerful, silent, and runs a long time on a full charge. It holds your angle of choice without slipping. It’s also very sturdy—no wobbling at any speed. I’m very happy to have this fan in my home!

I LOVED this fan until it refused to recharge after less than 2 years' use
UPDATE: Someone from Teek Tech finally called me but I missed the call (DRAT!). She left a message saying if I still had a problem to email them. Well, I don't have a problem anymore, because I put the fan in the trash this morning. Buy at your own risk. ___________________________________________________________________________ I've bought three of these fans in the last few years. Two were gifts, one was for me. I bought mine in Nov 2020 (it's now Sept 2022). I LOVED LOVED LOVED it... until it stopped recharging last week. While it worked, it was the best thing in the world. Light as a feather, quiet, held a charge forever. One time the back seat of my car got wet when I left a window open in the rain. I stood the fan in the back door of the car to dry the seat, and it ran on medium speed for EIGHT HOURS. I left the fan outside in the winter for months, including in the snow, and when I turned it on the spring, it was still almost fully charged. When I did run down the battery, it would fully charge in just over an hour. I bragged on the fan to everyone, and bought two for gifts. My friend did some remodeling work in her bathroom and ran the fan to keep the fumes at bay. Then last week, it was done. Toast. Kaput. Dead in the water. It would not recharge. At all. I knew I was past time to return or exchange it, but I couldn't believe it was dead in less than two years. That's not much of a shelf life. Part II of the saga: I set about trying to call Geek Aire customer service. The first dozen or so times I tried, I kept getting "All our representatives are helping," etc., so finally I left a message. Of course, I got no callback. This morning I did get past the recording and got through, but got someone who didn't seem to know what was going on. As if a random stranger had answered the phone. When I started to tell my story, they hung up on me. I called back five times, but each time, the phone was answered and then immediately disconnected. So I filled out a contact form on the website and also sent an email. That was a couple of hours ago. I just want to know if this fan is REALLY dead. After only two years of meticulous charging/running on my part? How can that be? Before I put it in the trash, I need to know that there is no hope. If it IS dead, will I buy yet another one? I don't know. For those 22 months, it was really great. One of the things I liked to do with it was keep my cat cool when she would sleep in the canvas doggie hut in the back yard. [See picture.] The hut also came from amazon. Black cat is wearing colorful BirdsBeSafe collar. Sometimes the vendors read these reviews. I hope the Geek Air people see this one and will let me know if my fan is really dead with no sure and certain hope of resurrection.

Cost effective, light weight, runs for days, great product.
2024 UPDATE* Still WORKING!!! Amazing piece of tech. Just down in St Pete beach,102f index, fan was looked as odd as I walked into beach but…end of day 5hrs, and it was still working lots of compliments. One mom said “pro move.” We bought three of these since 2020 and all still working. Buy. This. Fan. Well done Geek Aire. Ty for such a great product and manufacturing team. This is truly an amazing product. Its brushless design helps reduce the weight. Portability is more than I expected. We sit in the room with our dogs overnight. Then bring it out to the kitchen in the morning here in Florida it’s just plain hot. A nice quiet fan. When I’m outside working out I can bring it with me the battery lasts for hours and I even had to use the cell phone charger one day because I forgot everything else. Brought it on a recent outing lasted for four hours with no issue I turned it off because we had to leave. Highly recommend this fan.

Great Fan, No Way to Buy Replacement Cords...So Far
Ok This fan earned my admiration. I’ve bought 2 so far. Yes, they are more money than most fans but the Rolls Royce of fans. So far ahead of the pack you can’t even see the pack. Whisper quiet, powerful yet smooth air flow adjustment, solid stable footing yet not too heavy, portable! Yes put it anywhere you need it! We even accidentally left it out when we had a passing shower & it just laughed at my worried look. An investment in fan you deserve and won’t regret. I have come back on to drop the rating to 4 stars because of questionable customer support. We lost the cord to our fan and have been going in circles having no idea how to contact the company. I’m having to spend $18 on a generic recharge cord on Amazon with a dozen different fittings because so little info can be found. The company is still selling fans but they are in hiding! I’m hoping the generic recharge cord does work.

Awesome Fan
I have two of these Geek Aire Fans because I like them so much. This 16" does move more air than the 12" size one I have. I get them when they go on sale. They recharge fairly quickly and do a nice job as a personal fan. As with most of these portable battery operated fans, the higher fan speeds do use up more battery juice and thus, require to be plugged in to recharge more often than if using a lower fan speed. These fans can be used while remaining being plugged in to an outlet. I use these indoors if painting, for hurricanes power outages, inside the SUV for my pets, outside when there needs to be some air movement is nice to have in the summertime. Overall, out of the other battery operated fans for sale, I have found this brand to be the best for the price and air output.

These are great!
I first bought these when the company was on QVC and I ordered 2. I couldn’t find them afterwards because I was going to buy them for friends and family for presents because they work really well. Then I found them here, they are a little different in size because the ones on QVC were exclusive. No matter, I have ordered 3 more and will continue to order. They come with a plug in and are also battery operated. Mine are 16”, yellow, and we use them everywhere. Friends are blown away when they realize how much power these put out and how quiet they are. The air flow is phenomenal. The durability is awesome. There is a knob on the back for adjusting the comfort. I use it for when the a/c is on in the back and need to get some air flowing to the front, I just turn it on and I can feel the cooling in front. Living in an RV is great! I use these if when I am outside whether I am grilling, working in the yard with the temps in the 90’s, it just works great! Well worth it! Thanks a bunch!!!
