Don't Just Read It
This is the kind of book whose content must be put into practice. I am a bit annoyed with all the reviewers complaining about this book. The only thing in it that made me roll my eyes was the need to have everything be black on the altar, which I thought was more than a little silly. Of course, Konstantinos states in the beginning of this book that this "tradition" should not be followed word for word, and that one must adjust the content to one's practice.I do love the style of his circle casting. I tried it and found it much more powerful than other methods I have been taught. I like that he expands the book a bit more into things like telepathy and programing the aura. I also like his 'banishing' which is really a cleansing of space. It takes a lot less time than a traditional Wiccan space purification, which can be a ritual unto itself. There are a few moments when Konstantinos tries a little too hard, but overall I do love this book.

:-)
First off I want to say that I am new to the Craft, but I've always had an interest in the occult, and have read quite a few books on the subject. As of this moment I'm an "Armchair Occultist". Ha.This book is a great starting point for a beginner in which the material covered herein resonates with. I'm a darker soul, myself so this book called me.Many people complain that this is a re-hashing of previous occult books. The problem here is: this is a published Grimoire. This is what worked for Konstantinos, and he published it. This isn't a book claiming to be "new and uncovered material".Also this doesn't claim to be a Wiccan book. Wicca and Witchcraft are two separate entities all together...and from things I've seen Wiccans practice Witchcraft, Witches don't follow Wicca. Don't lump us in with the crystal jinglers please. The only thing I wasn't keen on was the lack of description on maybe one or two topics, but that's nothing a quick Google search couldn't handle.Summary, its a great read very down to earth author and nice starting point. If darkness resonates with you, you'll love it.

I finally found what I've been searching for
I've been searching for a path to call my own among Wiccan and witchcraft traditions for some time. The strictly formed covens or Gardenarian and other popular traditions were far too rigid for me, yet, being a solitary, too much of the eclectic left me feeling adrift in a sea of techniques and objects I did t know what to do with. Konstantinos talks about feeling alienated and disenchanted by regular witchcraft, which focuses on the sun and full moon energies. Spells best worked in the light by people who prefer it's company. I, too, felt this way but had no idea that Nocturnal witchcraft, a path for children of the night that don't seek satanic rites, existed. Finding this book made me feel at home, understood, and one I truly had a place in the world of magick. I finally feel I am not alone, adrift with no focus or clear path to follow. Konstantinos has given me a great gift and I will not squander it.

Great addition for your library
Great for those witches who are up at night. The author gives demonstrations and it is easy to follow. However, I will say, that this book is for the beginner to the intermediate witch, somewhere in-between the two. The information given in this book, should be known to the seasoned witch, but it still makes an excellent addition to your library. If you are looking for a bunch of how to's, intense spells and lots of witchy woo-woo, you will not find it in this book. It is a fairly simple book, mainly for those witches trying to get a feel for magic in all its aspects.

Was hoping for something more .... dark, and less..... wiccan
I was excited to give this a chance.... so I started to read and it was good, that is until chapter 2-Wicca by Night.... UGH! I still kept reading.. the more I read, the more I was turned off... bummed because I also ordered Summoning Spirits which I’m not even going to bother reading... I respect those who practice Wicca, however it would be nice to find a book where it wasn’t eventually being shoved down your throat... it’s just not for me.

Finally neo-wicca for Goths
Even though Goths cannot be defined cause to each its own, except what we seem to all have in common a choice of colors like: black and black or white, black and silver or gold, etc. This Goth (black and black with silver or gold) has always connected to natural law than human law. Konstantinos insight into the nightkind natural law has been revealed in this awesome book. Wicca has always been about natural religion. In reading this book I learned how to adopt what I feel in my soul to be true to connect to the Solar God and Lunar Goddess who created my natural self, while humankind corrupted my flesh. In the end I will live in peace in this give and take humankind manipulated world. Hey, I can play till that final day, and this book has helped me do that. Not a book for everyone, only those special someone.

Good book
This book is well-written and interesting. I find that the rites can be a bit complicated, but they are at least doable. In the pas I have read books that have procedures in them that are undoable completely, and I find this book to not be one of them. However, the workings included here take a level of commitment that may be difficult for some. Still recommended to those who are night-owls and looking for a book that fits them.

Excellent resource for the noctournal witch ...or just the curious one ;)
This book gives a great introduction to Konstantinos' perception of noctournal witchcraft, it includes rituals, and a brief synopsis of deities associated with the lunar/dark energies of the night. The only reason I have rated this book 4/5 rather than 5/5 is that there is a strong Wiccan slant to the rituals etc.. utilising godforms/deities ....and structured rites ... this is great if you have an affinity for ceremonial magick ...but for those of us who prefer an elemental approach, or who do not subscribe to 'god/goddess' ..godforms etc ... it is only the first chapter which is relevant !None the less a good read, and worth having on your bookshelf, even if its not completely your thing :)
