Very durable bike lock. Nice mounting bracket that serves as a quick on and off storage system. The large numbers on the dial are easy to rotate and see. The cable is strong yet easy to manipulate for locking up. It is stout and well made. It's not difficult to connect the lock together. The mechanisms seem to fit smoothly and intentionally. The little red button on the storage bracket makes for a one handed removal of the lock in a quick and easy motion. It makes locking up a very speedy task when you're running late for class. When the bike racks are crowded, you can always stretch this lock so you can lock up. Those Ubolt style locks always have to be hard against the rack to lock up and thus will make you late for class. This is the way to go for a hurried student at a crowded bike rack. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

I DO understand that this lock is simply a deterrent, and could probably be easily cut. But, with that being said, I think it’s a great buy. I live in a nice area and hope that a simple deterrent system will be enough. While I love the color options, I went with the black/grey. I just think it makes it look like a higher quality lock as opposed to a bright, fancy color. Believe me...I wanted pink. 😉 I haven’t tried the mount. I think it would be in the way of the step-through. I have a rear bag I store it in, but will mount it if/when needed. It’s easy to use and I wanted a 5-numeral code so when my friends visit and use the bike I can just change it to something they’ll remember: their ZIP code! Should I find that it’s quality and security don’t lead up to my expectations, I will definitely update my review. Until then, and I sure hope I don’t have to, I’m pretty happy with the purchase.

This was a great purchase! Super easy to set the code, fits great under the seat, lightweight, and long enough to lock two bikes to a tree. We know this won't stop a serious thief, but really, nothing will. I live the quick release holder!

It does well enough to get the frame and front wheel on a normal bike rack but trying to do the same to two bikes or even around a small tree can be almost impossible. After uncoiling it does bounce back quite nicely which is very nice to see and the color is very vibrant and looks great. The mount connects solidly and easily to the bike frame for traveling but noticed in two months, the bolts are really heavily rusted... probably won't create a problem unless trying to remove or adjust them but worth mentioning. Easy to set combination, aesthetically attractive and feels solid, just wish it was 6 inches longer and maybe used stainless or galvanized screws but otherwise would recommend

This bike lock is an effective deterrent to common bike thieves, though it may not prevent professionals from stealing your bike, as they use bolt cutters to cut through locks like this variety. But for most outings where you're leaving your bike for only an hour or so, especially if in broad daylight, it is plenty secure. I made this mistake many years ago while in school, leaving my bike among many others until the library closed. When I went to retrieve it, I found several cut bike locks strewn around; they may have stolen a dozen or so at the same time. Better to use something bigger and much heavier in those instances - lesson learned!

Bought this 3 years ago. Worked great until last week - lock is stuck and won’t open. Frustrating!

This is very strong chain. Easy to install. I've been using this for two years now, and it is still in a good shape. When I am not using it, it can neatly store in the back of the seat, as shown in the picture.

The reset code did not work and had to do some reverse engineering to figure it out. Good quality lock

Avoid this product. Were able to unlock for a couple times and jammed on the third time, the lock can't be unlocked so it has to be cut. It's extremely easy to be cut as well with regular cutting pliers and can see the wires are about 0.5 cm
