The Yogin and the Madman: Reading the Biographical Corpus of Tibet's Great Saint Milarepa (South Asia Across the Disciplines)

I didn't always agree with the author's thesis, but reading the book was both interesting and informative. Now when I read Milarepa's songs and biography, I definitely have more insight into them, based on the historical knowledge that I gained from "The Yogin and the Madman."

Interesting for lay readers but detailed for scholars. Quintman's excellent book makes it easy for all readers to be engaged in his rich history of the biographies of Milarepa, Tibet's great saint. Well-deserving of all the accolades it received.

I am really glad I found this book.
