Wood Square Dowel Rods 3/8-inch x 36 Pack of 250 Wooden Craft Sticks for Crafts and Woodworking by Woodpeckers

I am.planning my wedding and I wanted to use this wooden dowels to make my centerpieces. These came in a very well package. The price is better when buy in bulkAll the dowels are clean and in good shape. I use tidebond glue to attach them to each other. The results were amazing. Can't wait to paint spray them and make it look like $80 vase

I ordered 1/2 in and 1 inch sq. StockThe 1 in was a bag of 1x36 and 5 peices. None of them were straight.In fact 2 of them when held together had more than 3/4 inch of space at the other end.I could have cut straighter with a hand saw.Ridiculous.

This is a barn I built using Square Dowels and Tongue depressors it is 28"L X 22" W X 29" H

Exactly what I was looking for! I used them to add interest to our bathroom vanity doors! Great quality and arrived quickly! I will be ordering more soon for a wall art project.

The dowels are sturdy and worked well for the project I needed them for (reinforcing a DIY shelf from underneath, so they aren't visible in the finished product). But about half of the rods arrived warped (2 of them weren't usable).If you need to make sure that your dowels are straight for your project, I'd recommend getting them in-person from a craft supplies store or hardware store to make sure that you're getting the quality you need.

I used these as a border around a wall panel I constructed. I added these to the sides using Elmer's wood glue. All the pieces were nice and straight and all the same length. There was only one piece that was slightly bent, however pressure and the glue the slight bend isn't noticeable. Nice strength but at the same time easy to cut too.

The wood is very nice in quality and quite strong, but straightness is a major issue. I purchased 3 bunches of the 1/2"x36" dowels (60 total), and of those only 5 were straight over their entire lengths. Another 19 were good for about 24" of their lengths, 32 for about 12-16" of their lengths, and 4 were fully curved from end to end. Straightness per pack was also hihgly variable, with one pack being very good, one with an even spread of straightness, and very bad one that only had a few usable 24" or more along with 3 of the 4 fully curved ones. I knew enough to purchase longer pieces than I needed owing to some degree of inevitable warping, so for me it wasn't a big issue for what I was doing with them, but if you need dowels that are a usable 36", or even reliably usable over 24", I definitely wouldn't recommend these, or any wood ordered sight-unseen, really.

I bought a very nice shelf/stand.... the only problem it had, was nothing on the back of each shelf to prevent smaller items from being pushed off. So I bought these. Cut two to length, sanded, stained and varnished them. Then used a little Loctite and some C clamps to hold them in place overnight. Morning arrives.... problem solved. These were exactly what I needed. Very happy. They even look like they are part of the original stand.
