I have wanted an Anglepoise lamp since I was three years old. I've had a few lookie-likie types over the years, but my husband came across these while looking for lamps to put by the bed. They are brilliant! The colour is great and while they are a smaller, more simple style, they are perfect for our needs. The finish is great as it's not shiny so doesn't get dusty, they plug into our wall USB sockets leaving the plug sockets free for other things, they have a good range of movement so you can direct the light anywhere you need it, the LED lights are a lovely warm tone and they are dimmable. They go plenty bright enough for reading, makeup application, drawing etc and switch on easily with a button on the top. They dim low enough so you can put the light on and not disturb your partner. Dimming is easy, you just keep your finger on the on button and it gently goes from bright to soft and dim, when you have the desired brightness you just stop pressing the button. The bulbs are behind an opque plastic guard so you don't accidentally end up with it shining right in your eyes. I'm not doing these beautiful lights justice. The colour is perfect and the feel of the coated metal is really tactile and hard wearing. I finally have a genuine Anglepoise, we have one each and we love them. I have no hesitation in recommending this gorgeous and versatile light and the seller was great so I would buy from them again and recommend them.

I ordered for my new desk now that I am working from home, my larger anglepoise 75 lamp was too big for my desk so decided to go for a mini and seen this. Don't get me wrong I was going to send back as soon as I opened the box as I thought this is too small. However after assembling and placing in situ it looks good and I am happy overall with the purchase.It is has a USB cable so you can use this with any USB plug, socket or laptop. You can't change the bulb, but it comes with a lift time guarantee for the bulb. It gives a good glow for focusing that you can also dim to suit your needs.It's a bit expensive, but very well priced on Amazon and you have to remember it's a classic brand and is good quality.

This a stylish lamp with all the attributes of a full size Anglepoise in a miniature package. My only criticism is that it needs a battery so that you can use it anywhere without a wire. As it is it needs to be connected to a USB port

Wanted to get a desk lamp that looks good, would last for a fair few years, and is from a company with some history / known for quality. Unfortunately, I don't think this delivers.First issue, which relates to Amazon itself - the lamp I received was clearly a previous return as it was partially assembled, had a dent and scratch on the lamp head and dust marks dotted around. Not impressed.In terms of the lamp itself.Pros:- The black is a nice matte colour- It is small making it easy to move around- The general design is great - very minimalistic with a nod to industrial design.Cons:- Feels cheap. I'm quite surprised that the majority is made from aluminium as it very much feels like plastic- The switch to turn it on/off lacks in quality. Sounds petty but you'd expect a solid mechanism considering it'll be used an awful lot- The bulb is integrated and cannot be changed. Anglepoise do provide a lifetime warranty but regardless you won't be able to swap it out for any other bulb if it breaks or if you wanted a different colour/warmth- They're manufactured in China, and 'assembled' in the UK. It's not a UK manufactured product.It's my first experience with an Anglepoise lamp and aside from the item condition on arrival, I'm disappointed. You'd be able to buy a no-name lamp for a fraction of the price and with better durability. If however you're really set on the look and the brand name, then go for it. They do offer a lifetime guarantee.

Love the look and style of this lamp (went for the blue one). The light is dim-able thanks to the button on the top of the lamp.Base is solid and sturdy, lamp itself is easy to move around and very lightweight allowing you to easily position it.My only negative comment would be the price point. At the time of writing it is being sold for £75 which in my mind is too much. I paid £30 for it which I feel is more appropriate for the overall product.

Very nice matt navy colour. The LED lamp doesn't heat up the shade so it is safe to touch after hours of use. LED can also be dimmed by long press on the on/off switch - works a treat. It's a nice slow gradual change which gives good control of light output. The design works really well, extremely flexible positioning of light, good finish on the parts, nice to touch - only gripe is that it is powered with a USB cable. Micro usb to usb with a 3 pin uk plug adapter. Micro usb plugs into the side of the base of the lamp. Cheapo black cable could be doing with being longer and braided. I found a nice contrasting burnt orange braid from a separate vendor.

Cable is rather easily dislodged from the lamp base; and could really do with being a bit longer. I did buy a longer replacement cable easily . On the plus side it is a small object of desire and the dimming function makes it lovely for any setting/purpose. The actual Anglepoise mechanism is as beautiful on this as on the larger products.
