Gearmo Mini USB Serial Adapter Hi-Speed 920K FTDI Chip PC Db-9 RS232

The adapter arrived very quickly, and performs flawlessly! The tiny size (all in one, without a cable between connectors) is ideal for my needs. Love the built-in LED indicators, that show all the data transfer activity. Using this to interface my vintage Garmin GPS V device to my Windows 10 Laptop for transferring maps back and forth. Working great !This adapter came with a mini CD containing drivers, but wasn't needed because Windows found the driver automatically.Excellent little adapter, at a very reasonable price !!!

It just worked fine by just plugging it on the usb port without any driver on Windows 7. It just worked well on the devices that I needed to control by the serial port and I could use a 3ft. Usb extension on it without any problems. The Rx and tx leds are very useful.

Good product for connecting GENLINK serial connection to newer computers with serial. I like how it can be moved from one USB port to another without having to reconfigure. And when used with IOGEAR GUE216 USB BOOSTER Extension cable it allows longer connection. I like the LEDs that confirm data transfer, which helps to analyze/confirm connection.

Did not work at all. Down loaded the correct drivers and still failed to communicate with the device. Returned for a refund.

Great adapter, function so good

works great for all those FDTI dependent applications. Used newest FDTI drivers so this appears to be genuine.

Looked high and low online for a USB to RS232 serial adapter. This adapter is perfect as it allows normal RS232 type cables to connect to it and to use the thumb screws to keep the cable connected. Also has LEDs in the body to show TX/RX data condition.

Only problem is that if the adapter is wiggled slightly when in use the connection is dropped. So make sure you use it in an area where it is not subject to any movement.
