## Features

- Choosing the right equipment for your projects plays a significant role in the quality of your work. With band saws it is equally important to choose the right parts and accessories to make your machine run smoothly and without issue. Whether you’re a carpenter, contractor or even a skilled craftsman, your band saw is one machine that you need to run smooth and true.
- From improved performance and safety to reduced downtime, urethane band saw tires provide many advantages over factory tires and rubber or plastic replacement tires. Urethane band saw tires most certainly outlast rubber band saw tires and plastic band saw tires. Urethane band saw tires will not dry rot like rubber or plastic tires.
- This alone provides you with an exceptional value over other types of band saw tires. Another advantage of urethane tires over rubber is that no adhesive is needed for proper installation. Urethane tires can be stretched to fit and are specifically designed to stay in place without any type of adhesive. This makes these tires even easier to install and even easier to remove if necessary.
- Whether you’re setting up a new saw or replacing the tires on an old saw, the urethane tire installation process is quicker and easier for increased productivity and efficiency. All of this improves blade tracking and extends the life of your blade. Not only that, the tires are bright orange, which makes them super easy to inspect and they come with a lifetime warranty on the welds.
- This is a two tire set of Quality Urethane Band Saw Tires 12″ diameter x 7/8″ wide x .095″. They are designed to be installed on any 12″ band saw that requires a 7/8″ wide and 3/32″ thick tire. The actual wheel diameter can be 11-5/8″ to 12-1/2″ wide. Made in the USA and can be trimmed to fit if needed.

Really tight fit but so nice when it’s done!

I was in need to replace my old tires. They kept slipping. I chose these and at first I wanted to give up. That’s until I asked some fellow enthusiast and they gave me some tipsTo get it on. Basically use zip ties to secure whatever u can. Then stretch a little more and add another zip tie. Then work from the other zip tie and get it all on top. U may need a second person to pull the zip tie. I didn’t soak it I just chose man handle method once the zip ties are on. Some say to soak for water just under boiling for 5 minutes but I didn’t want to get scolded. Overall right after install i sawed someWood and the blade didn’t come off.

Brought My Old Bandsaw Back to Life

*by D***E on Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2022*

I have an 50's era Craftsman band saw that kept throwing the blade. I replaced the old drive tires with these, and haven't had a problem since. Follow the installation instructions, and these go on without too much of a fight.

I read the other reviews regarding this product and they are accurate. The band saw does run quieter. Sears does charge twice the amount. They are very difficult to put on. As to the last point. I used hot water from the tap that helped. The second tire, after experience with the first was easier. I am sure the third would be even easier, but my saw does not have three wheels :) Experience helps. With the first I used one clamp, then after watching you tube tried several more clamps. Eventually I put the tire and the wheel in a wood vise, the wheel was clamped on the side and the tire moved freely, and pulled up, that solved the problem of the tire wanting to slip off the wheel on the side I are previously pulling from. The second tire was more difficult because I could not remove the wheel from the saw, I did find an easier solution. I place three 1"-2" clamps at the 12, 3, 9 o-clock position (the clock is not important just the spacing). I tighten the clamps on the edge of the wheel, without the tire, then I stretched the tire around the wheel. The purpose of the clamps was to keep the tire from slipping off as I used a flat head screw driver to make the final stretch. One additional comment. The Woodworking magazine video suggested using urethane tires in arid climates instead of rubber tires that dry out faster. That answers the urethane vs rubber question.
