ASICS Men's GEL-Craze TR 2 Training Shoe

Asics Gel Craze Training ShoeI lift weights and run about 5-6 times a week averaging about 2-3 miles a day and then about an hour to an hour and a half of weight lifting and I needed a new pair of shoes that would work well for both. I received these Asics shoes about five weeks ago now, and have used them just about everyday for running and working out and they are very comfortable. I would give these shoes 5 stars.ComfortabilityI currently wear these shoes for about two to three hours a day five to six times a week to exercise in and I have never once gotten sore feet from these shoes. The day I received these shoes I ran two miles with them and felt no pain. They did not really require a breaking in period but were ready to go right away. They perform very well for running and lifting weights at moderately intense style. These shoes do not provide a ton of support so if you are a person needing a lot of support I would recommend getting good insoles for these shoes if you decide to buy them.SizingMany reviews said that these shoes ran a little big so I ordered a half size smaller than what I wear in most other shoes and they fit perfectly. I would recommend ordering the shoes a half size smaller.DurabilityLike I said, I have had these shoes for about five weeks now and they have held up very well thus far. I have mostly used them for indoor running so I am not sure how well they will uphold with consistent running outside. I see no signs of wear so far and they have kept their shape and comfortability.OverallThese shoes are very comfortable and very durable from my experiences. I ordered the aluminum/ black color and love the color. I believe they are a great shoe for the price.

I've used these a few times at the gym now and I'm really impressed. They breath nicely and afterwards my feet can't even tell I've been working out. They do seem to run about a half size too big, but it hasn't affected the comfort for me at all.There are some negative reviews in regards to these shoes holding up to running outside. It's probably fair to mention that I don't think these shoes are really meant for outdoors, they're cross training/gym shoes, which means exclusively indoors. That's probably why these are quite a bit cheaper than running shoes as well. Most gyms, including mine, require you to use shoes that haven't been used outdoors anyway so as long as you are respectful of that policy this shouldn't be an issue. But if you're looking for something to use both indoors and outdoors, this might not be the shoe for you.

I've been wearing Asics shoes for many years, primarily for running. I've been using my running shoes for workouts at my health club (basketball, weight lifting, etc), and decided I needed something with more side support. These training shoes are exactly what I needed. They work well on a gym floor, and provide the support I need in the weight room. I've only had them a couple of weeks, and after wearing them for a rather intense 1-1/2 workout today my feet feel great. I always wear a size 11-1/2 for Asics shoes, and thats what I order for these training shoes, and they fit great. I consider these an indoor shoe, and have no plans to use them for my outdoor running or long walks.

The second generation Craze TR is even better than the first, and a touch lighter. The fit is perfect for me, and is very stable in lateral movements. I use it for pretty much everything in the gym, from spin classes to basic training, 30 and 30, elliptical, insanity type moves. It's a great training shoe, I just wish there were a wider variety of 'normal' colors to choose from. That's just a personal thing though, and doesn't take away from the fact this shoe makes me excited to work out. I've tried a lot of training shoes, but for me, the Craze TR2 is the best. Everyone has personal tastes with training shoes, but I really love these shoes, and looking forward to the TR3 at some point in the future!

Asics is my shoe of choice, but this model was returned the day after I received it. I threw out a pair of Asics, and ordered this pair. I still have 4 pairs of Asics in my closet. I have had fIat feet for decades, but one constant was that an Asics 13M fit perfectly. I certainly hope that something was wrong at the factory when this specific pair was produced. When I receive a new pair of shoes, normally I remove the factory knot, pull the sides apart once, then slip the shoe on my foot. This pair, I had to loosen the laces, pull the sides, loosen the laces lower, pull the sides, loosen the laces lower, pull the sides, and a fourth time loosen the laces, then pull the sides. Even after all of this lace loosening and pulling I still had difficulty getting my foot into the first shoe. Before I started to take the excess slack from the laces the shoe felt too narrow. After adjusting the laces, I barely had enough laces to reasonably tie my shoes. After tying, the gap between the sides was narrower near the toe, and wider at the top. These shoes fit terribly narrow and looked horrible. I have never placed a shoe on my foot, that was the proper size, that looked sooo bad. By the way, I used Amazon's shoe fitting tool and supplied an Asics model shoe from my closet that fit like it was custom-made just for me. Don't know if it was an Asics production/design error or Amazon's shoe-fitting tool. The fit was so unreasonable that I can not fathom how much wider to order. This fitting experience was so unacceptable that I will be going into a brick and mortar store to find an Asics that fits like all of the rest of the Asics in my closet.
