the book was alright. i have played guitar for many years, and only used a capo when the original artist used one. but now i am starting to try home recording and i wanted options to blend sounds into the recording, using capos and also alternate tuning. while the book is completely accurate, for me, there wasn't anything i already didn't know. i thought maybe there were tricks for easier transposing, but there really wasn't. transposing very well could have taken up half the book, but basic guitar knowledge took its place. the book is best for beginners.

Concise and easily understandable little booklet, If need be, it won't take up much room in your guitar case if you want a ready reference you can take with you.

This book is written clearly and concisely. It has become an important part of my music library.

Overall, a very nice capo training guide. I think as an added touch, it could have had examples of different capos with pictures or diagrams, as well as, how to attach them properly to the guitar. In addition, it could have pointed out which capos are more appropriate for acoustic, electric, and classical instruments. I did find one mistake on page 34, whereby the Cm chord was listed as a member of the key of A, but it was probably just an omission (since it was a C#m elsewhere in the book).I think beginners and others will find this book VERY HELPFUL ! As for my opinion, I do RECOMMEND this book.

Useful, but will take some concentration to understand it as its technical with not easily understood theory.

I had no clue at the start, but this book really opened my eyes to changing chords and transposing keys for my voice.

This is a very helpful book on how to use a capo, the subject is covered extensively and all aspects is covered, including how you use the capo and why and where you can use the capo, the book also covers keys, and shows examples of how to change keys using the capo which are very helpful in the practical side of actually using the capo.It allows for a broader aspect of what you can actually do with your guitar,

A very informative guide to a part of guitar playing that I have used often but not really understood until now. I recommend this to any guitar player looking to get the most out of using a capo.
