Is this the same low quality material as the Tetra Pond hose?

I don’t see why not, it’s pretty heavy. We use it in our koi pond. May be a little stiff. Worth a try.

What size coupler would attach this to straight pvc pipe. What's the o.d.?

I would suggest using it internally vs. O.D. if you use a PVC 1 1/4" O.D. it will slip inside the tubing and you'd have a better ability to seal the PVC to the inside of the tubing vs. the reverse. So whatever you PVC end is buy a coupler that ends in 1 1/4" and slip the tubing over the PVC pipe, sealing it with silicone or another sealer of your choice.

Very good quality, just as described

My current house came with a small backyard pond with a little waterfall feature. After living here 7 years, the tubing from the pump to the waterfall became brittle and was cracking. This tubing was a great replacement. It is flexible and strong. My only wish is that is was available by the foot in custom lengths, because I would be delighted to have something more towards 25 or 30 feet. But for this is, it is perfect, 5 stars, and recommended!!!
