I have been using the Sink Shrum and Tub Shrum, but have had the common issue that the Sink Shrum gets black really quickly and the soap clog it up. It also looked terrible in my drain, especially considering they didn't have cream as a color and so the white Shrum with the black (mold apparently) that grows on it looked really terrible. I didn't actually buy this to keep hair out of the sink, but because I haven't wanted to try to put in a drain stopper in my non-standard plumbing, so I was looking to just keep things from falling down the drain. After looking into a number of solutions, this seems to be the best one I've found, all things considered.This piece arrived in a small, nice looking box in a mailing envelope. I'm glad the box arrived without being crushed, but thankfully, it probably wouldn't have mattered to this item if it had as it seems quite sturdy. I slipped the item (saying Drain Catcher each time is cumbersome) out of the box and the rings, then I held each of the rubber rings up to my drain, starting with the largest until I got to one that was too small, then used the next one up. I slipped it on, pushed it into the drain, then turned the water on. The water flowed freely around it, unlike the Sink Shrum, and it looked SO much better. The whole piece just looks really nice.The item came with a little zip lock bag with the extra pieces of "rubber" in it and it was just large enough to put the small instructional paper into so I didn't have to label the bag. I put it in, "zipped" it up, and placed it in with my warranties box where I put things like this that go to items I own, so I can find them when I need them. The package arrived, the item was installed, and the extra pieces put away in only a couple minutes. No hassles.The only downside I foresee is that don't know how long the rubber ring will last. It looks like I could just use the next size up if this one wears out, but I guess I'll see. It seemed to fit tightly enough that my fears that the rubber part could come off in the drain as I pull it out at some point we allayed a fair bit. Only time will tell if the rubber piece will weaken with age.So, we will see if this works as well as it seems it is going to, but with its presentation on arrival (arrived two days early) and it's initial performance, I'm impressed. I'm sure if it causes too much hassle, I'll update my review. Otherwise, so far, so good. I have a feeling the person who designed the product and brought it to market had a desire to deliver a great product and not just skimp on it. Today, that seems a rarity. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for sinks in the Bathroom *by K***Y on Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2020* It is exactly what is needed for the Bathroom Sink, now if we could only get a Tub one and I tried, but they only sent me sink ones ??? So that is much to be desired. These rare awesome because they are all metal, stainless steel and will last and catches hair etc... really good. It is important to use the right rubber for the bottom or you will get slow drainage. But regardless, all the rubbers work well with it that come with the plug. I highly recommend this for the sink. This style would be less desirable for the tub anyway because of it's raised design, knocked out of the drain could injure your feet. The regular rubber shroom is best for the tub that looks like a Big Button on Top, it too is raised, but wouldn't injure your foot like a tub one would of these. As a sink model, this is perfect. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Slows the drainage! *by M***S on Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2021* EDIT: from 2 to 4 star with some DIY. I snipped out a little rubber from between two holes, every other hole in the gasket. Now it drains well and looks shiny. Not sure if that means more hair might sneak through, but I don't think so, the holes are still pretty small.I love the look, but it slows the water drainage too much. After a few minutes I'm taking a splashy foot bath instead of a shower. This is without any hair yet caught in it.
