TYC Left Tail Light Assembly Compatible with 2013-2015 Mazda CX-9

It took 5 minutes to replace the tail light and everything fit very well!

Despite having a backup camera and parking sensor I was still genius enough to back into my garbage cans at the end of the driveway on garbage pickup day.Found this replacement on Amazon and ordered despite having the mechanical skill of brain damaged marsupial.The product arrived quickly and I looked up a video on youtube on how to replace the taillight on a 2015 CX-9. To my utter amazement I was able to replace the tail light using nothing more than a screwdriver and a butter knife in just over 5 minutes!The experience has inspired me to explore my mechanical aptitude and I have started a space rocket company to compete with Elon Musk. All it took was a 3rd mortgage on my house and one of my kidneys to secure the funding.

The passenger side taillight on my 2015 CX9 got damaged. Took the car to the Mazda dealer where I bought the car and they wanted $500 to put a new taillight in. Did an onlne search and found this unit on Amazon. It arrived today and thanks to the reviews explaining to just remove the wiring from the existing unit and install the bulbs in the new unit. Worked great. Installed it in not time at all.

This is an easy fix. Don't be like me and think you have to take off the entire side panel in the back area to access the electrical. Instead, do what other reviewers have said and just use the existing wiring. Unscrew all the lights from this unit and your old unit, and then screw those lights into the new unit. Pop it back on, screw it tight, viola! Shouldn't take more than 10 minutes from start to finish.

My husband backed into the neighbor's mailbox in our 2015 CX-9. The mailbox won. I ordered this to replace the demolished taillight and it was a perfect match to the original. Super easy install (about five minutes) if you remove the wiring it comes with and just reattach the original wiring to the new lamp cover. I am far from mechanically-inclined and this required about 30 seconds of head scratching before I had it all figured out. Two enthusiastic thumbs up.
