It is very difficult to separate the backing. The manufacturer should pre-slit the backing for easier removal. I used a razor knife and carefully slit the backing in the middle along the length a couple of inches. Then fold a little along that line and it should separate.I used the tape to attach a small gadget of only a few ounces to my dash after cleaning with alcohol. As the car interior gets warm, the tape fails.

I purchased this in hope of replacing the double sided tape that holds up a dash cam to the bottom of my rear view mirror trim (not the mirror itself, but the trim against the windshield). I was hoping that the “heat resistant” and “high adhesion” claim would work for this despite the heat of the sun and very light weight of the dash cam. Major disappointment. Apparently, the heat is too much for the tape to maintain it’s adhesion and heavy duty claims even though the dash cam weights mere ounces. Still, it’s very sticky and removable so I use it to tape such things as multi-port USB chargers to table tops and similar. Works well for that.

I used this tape in multiple aspects of my wedding, from centerpieces to taping my dress to the undergarment just minutes before walking down the aisle. Everything I used this tape on held firm the entire night. It can be used for practically anything and I ordered more because I don't ever want to run out. Trying to peel off the red layer to expose the adhesive side was a pain, but what do you expect with double-sided tape, it's supposed to be sticky! Still love it, it's worth every penny and then some.

It worked good for a very thin motorcycle engine case protector. It held the cover firmly on. Hopefully it will withstand the outside temperature but it’s worth a shot. I didn’t want to permanently epoxy the thin case cover because it would be too hard to take off later.

Excellent tape works really good!Holds up to about 160 degrees and vibration well that's my application for it. Works great!

Although I love this for my pictures on my walls it what I was hanging had any weight it wouldn’t hold

I like this stuff it has a lot of uses just a little tough to get the backing off
