If I could do it over again, I'd order the 140.The blades are big. This is light, but not the lightest- on a scale of light - very light- feather I'd call this very light. It can be used for either low or high angle paddling. Given the price difference between this and the most expensive, I'll buy Aqua-Bound every time (unless I become a professional paddler or win the lottery). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Night and day difference! *by M***S on Reviewed in the United States on July 12, 2020* Night and day difference between this paddle and a paddle I played 100 bucks for! This is the best value you can get in a paddle. If you are in the market for a paddle, go with the best one you can get at the time. Otherwise you will keep upgrading. Paddles and PFD are the 2 things I never go cheap on. The biggest thing, when talking about paddles is EFFICIENCY. This paddle is about as efficient as you can get for sub $200. There is no blade "shudder." The carbon fiber handle feels great in the hands. I don't have any grips and have no issues with blisters.If there are any downfalls it's that the handle gets hot, but that's easily fixed by dipping it in the water. The other thing is that the white blades are super bright! Not an issue during the day but when paddling with a head lamp on at night, I blind my self. Not a big enough issue to really take off a star or anything. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Paddle Yet *by W***N on Reviewed in the United States on March 7, 2015* My wife and I agree that this is our favorite paddle (we've rented many different ones in the past and own two other types, both steel shafted). The graphite shafts of this hybrid are light weight yet strong. Although graphite paddles are available on other models, we opted for this hybrid style which includes the fiber reinforced plastic as we felt it would be more durable when we paddle gravel bottomed shallow rivers. The absolute best feature is the PosiLok system. Its super easy to adjust and its a "snap" to put together and a "click" to take apart! There are more locking points between 0 and 60 degrees than one would ever really need, but I you really want to fine tune and customize the angle you have a LOT of choices! But the main payoff of this paddle is its light weight - we paddle for hours every other week all year long and this paddle is fantastic for extending our endurance.... when we're tired at the end of the day its not because of a paddle weight!The price is very fair thanks to the plastic as opposed the graphic paddles. I would highly recommend it for fresh water and ocean kayaking (we don't paddle above Class II so cannot honestly comment on this paddle for more abusive conditions.
