The design truly is like an old fashioned radio and even when you turn it on the dial lights up like an old fashioned radio. The radio is smaller than you might think and does fit in the palm of your hand. I will say though that the your sound quality is superb and I loved that you could not only get radio stations but you could also sync to your phone through Bluetooth and play music through that. I also found that the battery life was strong and it did last quite a while before I had to plug it in again. All in all if you are looking for a small radio that doesn't take up a lot of space and has great sound quality this radio definitely is one that I would recommend. This has very much a retro feel to it and looks really nice in my living room.What I love: vintage style look with wooden case, very good sound and the volume can be adjusted to pretty loud if needed(don't be fooled by size), the backlight is pretty awesome in the dark( red when set to radio and blue for bouetooth), can be connected to phone, tablet etc to listen to your own music/playlist, can be connected even to the tv!
