Will these rust in future?

Had mine outside for over a year, small amount of surface rust. If I had put a bit of oil on them they wouldn’t have rusted. They are still in good condition though and they work a treat

Do you need one for each leg of the gazebo?

I've had 1 on each leg all winter and mine is still standing. Ours is down on patio by back door for the dog to have some cover when he goes out. It can get very windy there but had no problems ourselves. They are the only things holding ours down. Not tied or screwed down either

what is the size of the hole / slot for the gazebo pole?

The slot width is 52-53mm wide, so the weight could accommodate up to a heavy duty leg frame of say 50mm. My frame leg is smaller and the weights do a great job in fierce gales. Thankfully, so far, the gazebo has successfully withstood many severe gales., thanks to the weights. Incidentally, the current gazebo is the third I’ve bought!!! The first two were utterly useless - no. 1 the roof was too small to fit the frame (a refund was given), the second, the framework was a lightweight aluminium frame, which buckled hopelessly in a very gentle wind!! Mark 3 is fantastic - an “All Seasons Gazebos” from Amazon. Unfortunately it’s unavailable from Amazon now, but just out of stock on “allseasonsgazebos.com” website. Hope this helps 🎂
