I'm not a huge chocolate lover, but I do like to have some dark chocolate every now and then. Unfortunately, on a low-carb or keto diet, you're pretty restricted in what you can have in terms of chocolate. All I've found until this point were the terrible, sugar-free versions of regular dark chocolates. Those are okay, but the gastrointestinal side effects of the sugar alcohols are sometimes a problem.This stuff tastes great. I definitely wouldn't recommend it to someone who is looking for a more traditional chocolate taste -- it's definitely a dark chocolate. Slightly bitter at first, then it turns into a nice, rich sweetness. It's also a little gritty when you first start to eat it, but the smoothness kicks in after a few moments. One square of this (about 1/8 of the bar) is about the size of a mini Hershey's, but that's enough to curb my chocolate craving for a few days.While the texture and flavor of these is pretty fantastic, and they don't interfere with my diet, the cost (at time of review) is somewhat prohibitive to make these a regular treat.
