HO Scale Building Kits - Western Homestead

This western homestead piece goes very nicely with my HO scale layout set in the 1930's. The model was easy to paint and easy to assemble even though some of the parts were quite small. I liked the fact the the windows were already white so they did not need to be painted. That saved a great deal of time and effort trying to get the detail just right. I look forward to purchasing more Life-Like sets for my layout.

Th picture in the box looks great. Open the box and you see pieces in two colors. A dark brown and a light tan. You are going need very fine paint brushes for the detail painting. Take a deep breath for patience and say "Do I want to Do it?" Instruction are easy to follow, the patience is in sanding, molding, placing parts to fit. The main building is a light tan the rest of the parts are a dirty brown. When starting to paid the female, get a rosary and start praying.

I bought this for y dad, as a Christmas gift, and he loved it! It fit well with his vintage HO train set, in his train room. Very happy I found this and its on he didn't already own. Great price too!

My 7 year old grandson loved this. It's not difficult to build, and he spent hours on the challenge of painting it to look weathered and "real" instead of too clean and plastic. The detail is great, with little people and animals. I will no doubt purchase more of these kits as the train set becomes more elaborate.

I like the finished product, but you have to be a fine watch repairman to handle the tiny pieces. Plus, only special modeling glue will work. Definitely not standard “super” glue.

Excellent product for easy results! I bought this for my 12 year old son to add to his HO scale train set. He had it together in a matter of hours. Easy directions, and looks great even without paint! Perfect for young builders.

Parts are not clearly identified and the direction illustrations do not match the reality of the parts so it is quite easy to assemble in the wrong orientation following the directions. The parts themselves are not very high quality or high detail. For example the pipe with the valve that comes down from the water storage tank cannot be properly orientated and the directions are very unclear as to how it should be orientated. Many parts do not clearly have their item number and the details indicated in the instruction are misleading. I cannot recommend this model to anyone either advanced or beginner.

No usé las bases incluidas y se ve excelente en el cerro de mi maqueta. Con diferentes combinaciones de pintura basándonos en la foto de ejemplo quedó así. Fue buen entretenimiento por la tarde. Tiene muchas piezas sueltas y puede servir para complementar incluso otras partes de la maqueta en un futuro.
