Silk Cotton Sand has the texture of very fine sand with the consistency similar to cloud slime. It is very elastic but not "slimy", the sensation is dry but elastic and silky (as it's name suggests) and doesn't dry out. It is not messy like Kinetic Sand can be, so I don't need to constantly check on my little one to see if there is a disaster to clean up, not to mention it is approximately HALF the price of the fore mentioned product as well as cloud slimes ! It also molds very well and comes out cleanly from molds and cutters that play dough would not. As you can probably tell already, I enjoy playing with it as well and I'm 50 years old !!
