Mechanix Wear M-Pact Covert Work / Duty Gloves MPT-55 - LARGE Size

I have been using these on duty for a couple months now....best gloves I have used in a 24 year LE career. They fit snug to the hand, allowing manipulation of equipment. I can reach into my pocket to get keys, as well as manipulate magazine releases, selector switches, etc. These gloves have been drenched several times, and are holding up perfectly. Will look back and review again in a few months, but even I they only lasted a year, I would be thrilled with the purchase. I have paid easily twice as much for "official" LE gloves and have never been half this pleased.

Excellent fit. Sized correctly, durable. Extra protection in all the right places. Once slip with a wrench and the knuckle protection provided makes them worth the price tag.

The only improvement I would like to see is a little tougher velcro on the wrist bad. Also the velcro area be a bit larger. When I tighten the wrist down not all of the strap is secure. Other then that they are excellent quality. Also for the shooters, they have a great feel. No problems operating my AR-15 or AK-47 or any other weapons system so far. One other thing, after I opened them I washed and dryed them with a load of close to soften them up a bit, and they didn't shrink! So getting them from dirty to clean is a snap.

Funny story. I needed these gloves for a Spartan Race I competed in last Saturday. I was happy to have received them on Friday even though Amazon said it would be delivered Monday. Fast forward to race morning. About 20 min before the race I decided to put the gloves on. They fit perfectly and looked like they would be up for challenge of a Spartan race. At 15 min before the starting AROO!, I decided to use the bathroom (lovely port-o-potties). I took the gloves off and placed them together and shoved them under my armpit as I proceeded to do my business. As I shuffled in the port-o-potty the gloves fell from under my armpit with one falling into the abyss of hundreds of other people's business while the other glove fell on the floor. ARRRRGGGGGG! What as I to do? Try to save it? Since I was the only one in the port-o-potty I quickly reached in and grabbed the glove to see if was salvageble (hoping it landed on a fresh layer of toilet paper). No such luck. =( As I turned the glove over it was covered with #2...and it was not mine. YUCK! I quickly came to terms with the loss of my glove. I threw it back in and picked up the one on the floor. I looked at it and said, "sorry, you've got to go with your buddy. I tossed it in. Unfortunately, I am unable to fully review these gloves for the intended purpose. I wish I could have…they looked like they would have killed it on the course. Thanks!

I have worn these for a few years now and they are typically okay gloves until now. The coating on the palm, thumb and forefinger pads literally peeled off the first time I wore them just by turning a doorknob. I put a photo in here to document the failure.

Loved them at first but the velcro wore out pretty quickly which I though was odd. Otherwise a great price and a nice pair of multipurpose gloves.

I deliver dairy products to grocery stores by way of a tractor trailer and have to personally unload the trailer. Unloading the trailer involves moving 800 pound rolling carts (and 1400 pound pallets using a pallet jack) from the trailer to the dock. I subsequently purchased these Mechanix Wear M-pact gloves because of the knuckle protection and because they fit better than standard work gloves. I have worn these gloves off and on for 3 weeks and have not sustained any damage to them.I had been happy with the performance, comfort and durability until today. Even after taking extraordinary care of these gloves I noticed that the back strap over the wrist has separated/torn from the glove cloth.This is not the first time I've had issues with the Mechanix brand, but I decided to give them another try. So if you're going to buy these for work, purchase at your own risk.

Will not keep hands warm during 50degree temps and lower. Too much air passes through them and my hands are numb after 15 mins. Design is great, protecting feels good quality. The velcro straps work fantastic and the grip is comfortable and solid. Fits true to size so measure your hand, mines are 9in around the palm and I bought the large. The pull cord on the wrist will not last, already ripped off my left glove but this does not damage the integrity of the glove. For the price you can't go wrong, we'll see how long they last. 500 miles so far so good.Update:2500 miles and these gloves are still good. I haven't tested them on a fall at speeds and I don't intend to.
